A felt basket is a pretty useful festive hand-crafted item that will decorate any home. It can be used both as a decoration, and more practical, for example, for storing various trifles. In addition, such a basket of felt, supplemented with sweets or pysankas, will be an original present to family and friends on Easter.

Necessary materials:

• dense wool felt - 2 squares 30 * 30 cm.
• acrylic felt for filling - 1 square 20 * 20 cm.
• thick sewing needle
• mulina
• white thread
• ruler
• pencil

On a note! For the basis of the basket, use a thick felt, at least 4-5 mm thick. A thinner material can not hold the shape of the craft.

Step-by-step instructions for the Easter craft:

1. We begin to make our craft for Easter with the cutting of blanks. For this purpose we measure two rectangles on one of the dense felt sheets, each of which should be 9 cm wide and 28 cm long. These will be the walls of the future basket. From the same piece of felt we cut the workpiece for the handle - a strip, 2.5 cm wide and 30 cm long. The second square of felt will be used to cut out the base circle of our felt basket. It should be 17.5 cm in diameter.

2. Now go to collect the basket. First, we connect the walls together. To do this, we sew the two rectangles together with linen threads in neat little stitches.
   On a note! The color of the basket can be absolutely anything, but we recommend using light shades of felt and thread. Such a basket will look more elegant and festive. And do not forget that the basic color of felt and the shade of threads should be harmoniously combined with each other.
3. Next, take the circle-base and put it under the formed rim. Sew the bottom of the basket and the walls together with threads.

4. We pass to the handle: we will sew it as well as the previous details to the frame with threads.

5. In principle, the Easter craft of felt is ready, but we recommend to decorate it a little with the help of a mulina. For example, you can embroider a small thematic drawing or simply process the edges of the basket with colored threads, as in our master class.
