- apple cider - 1.4 liters
- light brown sugar - 3 p. spoons
- cinnamon sticks (6 chopsticks for garnish) - 7 pieces
- of ground sweet pepper - 1 teaspoon
- Ground ginger - 1/2 Teaspoon
- ground cloves - 1 Part
- Grated nutmeg - 1 Part
- salt - 1 part
- cognac (optional) - 1/2 cup
In a medium saucepan mix cider, sugar, spices and salt together. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Remove from heat, pour in cognac, if necessary. Strain in a pitcher. Spread the drink in circles and decorate each stick with cinnamon.
