Galina Benislavskaya, biography

Galina Benislavskaya is a person whom we, most likely, would not have known, if she had not met an impudent and charming golden-haired boy on one of the evenings. Biography Galina closely intertwined and its history. And Benislavsky's biography ended almost at the same time, when he was no more. Galina Benislavskaya, whose biography became a shadow of her beloved's biography, is an example of devotion and love. That golden-haired boy was the poet Sergei Yesenin, for whom Galina became a friend, protector and angel.

Galina Benislavskaya, whose biography does not begin very lightly, grew up with her mother.

What date was Galina born - unknown. But, it is known that the biography of Benislavskaya began in 1897. The first years of her life, Benislavskaya grew up with her mother. But, then, the mother began mental disorders, and Galina came to the aunt. It was from her aunt that she got the surname of Benislavskaya. Her real father is the Frenchman Arthur Carrier. He most likely never lived with his family, or abandoned it immediately after the birth of Gali. Therefore, the biography of the girl has little information about him. The girl was raised by Benislavsky with his wife. He was a doctor in the Latvian city of Rezekne. When Galya was older, she left her foster parents in St. Petersburg and entered the Transfiguration Women's Gymnasium. The school graduated with a gold medal, and then entered Kharkov University at the Faculty of Natural Sciences. Galina was a convinced revolutionary and a Bolshevik. Her courage amazed and amazed. For example, when the White Guards came to Kharkov, the girl was not afraid to cross the whole front to get to Moscow and settle there.

After moving to the capital, Galina's life was fine. She had a friend, Yana Kozlovskaya, whose father, Mikhail Kozlovsky, after the revolution became the head of the People's Commissariat of Lithuania and Belarus. As she crossed the front, Galya got to the reds, who considered her a spy, her friend's father had to help the girl to be released. After this happened, Mikhail Kozlovsky practically took her under his care. He helped the girl get a room in Moscow and join the party. Soon he arranged her for the post of secretary at the Special Interdepartmental Commission at the Cheka.

By the way, Galya was not only a devoted Bolshevik and a revolutionary. She also liked to read, understood literature and went to the cafe Stoylo Pegasa, where the most talented poets of Moscow read their poems. Perhaps the love of poetry and played a major role in the fact that the fate of Gali changed dramatically in the evening of September 19, 1920. She was then twenty-three years old and she went with a friend to one of the poetry evenings at the Polytechnic Museum. It was then that she saw a handsome young man who brazenly looked at her, and then began to read his poems and Galya realized that it was his destiny. Yesenin was then twenty-five years old. He was already known in Moscow, he already managed to get married and divorce, and then get married again. Galya understood that he was a lover of shopping and walking with women. But, she felt that she could not live without him. This was the only man who she wanted to immediately submit, to give himself and the soul and body. Galya was an intelligent girl and realized that, probably, will not become his wife, but, still tried to believe in the best. She became his secretary, helped in everything, was engaged in the publication of his poems. Yesenin valued and respected Galina, sometimes even represented his wife, but, nevertheless, she was more to him than a woman. He knew that he could rely on her, that she would fulfill all his whims and enjoyed it. But, Galya forgave everything and waited. And then in the life of the poet there was a dancer Isadora Dkan and Galina felt that she was losing Sergei. He began to avoid it. I came to a rare meeting in the cafe "Mtoylo Pegas" only with my beloved and Galya understood that she hated him. Then Yesenin and Duncan got married and went for a year in the US. And Galya got into the clinic with a nervous breakdown. She was very difficult to part with Esenin, she always thought about him and only dreamed of seeing him from the corner of her eye. And then Yesenin returned and said that he was leaving Isadora. The joy of Galina was beyond limit. Together they wrote Duncan telegrams about her forgetting about Sergei, because he now belongs to Galya. But only, to the point of view, he could not fall in love with Galina. A little time passed, Sergei again began to drink, change, bring friends to Galya, from whom he lived and drinks with them. Galina endured everything and only tried to protect him from alcohol. And Sergei accused her of treason with his friends, insulted and humiliated. In the end, he decided to marry Tolstoy's granddaughter and then Benislavskaya could not stand it. She understood, like all Yesenin's friends and friends, that this marriage is meaningless, that he does not like Tolstoy, but simply chases the name of the famous grandfather of the girl. It was stupid and humiliating and Galina decided to break off ties with Sergei. She was very fond of him and was bored, but she began to convince herself that she must love another. This "other" was the son of Trotsky. She began to meet with him, but, anyway, talked with Sergei, who sent her letters from Batumi, where he rested with his new wife, told everything about everything.

And then there was another quarrel, Galina broke with Yesenin all ties, although, probably, later she was very sorry about this. Even before his death, Sergei was looking for a meeting with her, but she refused the poet. And then Galya was in the hospital, where she learned about the death of a loved one. She did not go to the funeral, although everyone knew that for her it was the end. And this was the end. The whole next year the woman was engaged in writing about Yesenin memoirs and putting his affairs in order. And on December 3, 1926, she went to the grave of Yesenin and committed suicide there. The girl did not die at once. She was found by the watchman and called an ambulance, but the woman died on the way to the hospital. Thus ended the life story of the most devoted girl, who, being unloved, loved her whole life and could not live without the one to whom she gave everything. That is why, on her grave, which is located next to the grave of the poet, for a long time only two words "Faithful Galya" were carved.
