Rinse thoroughly with grapefruit. Cut the skin. Cut each piece of peel into strips about 0.5 cm wide. Put these strips in a bowl, pour cold water and leave overnight. The next day, change the water and leave it for about 4 hours. Cover it with sugar powder, add water (as much as the stripes of peel with sugar weigh) and put on a slow fire. Cook until all the liquid is gone. Slightly cool the peel and put it on the tray. Leave for a night or longer. Sprinkle with powdered sugar, store in a sealed container.
