Hair wash: what is it and how to do the procedure at home

Washing for hair is a different system for removing unwanted shades without the use of a bleaching powder. Typically, the remover is a cosmetic set consisting of emulsions of 1 and 2 phases, deep-cleansing shampoo and neutralizer. On how to properly use the wash for hair at home and will be discussed in our article.

Hair wash: stages and features of the procedure

Note that the guaranteed result of cleansing from artificial pigment is possible only if earlier your hair was stained with the dye of the same brand as the wash. In other cases, there is always a risk of obtaining an unexpected result. For example, curls that are colored by household paints of cheap producers are worst of all: hair can acquire an uneven tone and "go stains".

The procedure for removing unwanted shades on the hair goes in two stages:

It should be remembered that with the help of washing, the hair can be lightened only to the level of the depth of the tone of natural color. In addition, the remover does not work on previously unpainted hair.

The widely held view that flushing of bezammic paint gives more difficulties in comparison with the ammonium dye is erroneous. Procedures for removing all types of dyes go in a similar scenario. The only thing before which the acid wash is powerless is henna and basma.

Another misconception is that the procedure is harmful to the hair. In fact, on the contrary, the curls after washing the dye remain in a better state than, for example, after the bleaching powders. Specific hair care after washing is not required - regular cleansing and moisturizing is more than enough.

How to do a color wash at home

To get rid of the unwanted cosmetic color, it is not necessary to go to the salon. Having bought a special kit, you can do this procedure at home. But keep in mind that neutralizing black or dark chestnut color will take a lot of time. But you will save on the services of a hairdresser.

Required Tools:

Stages of the procedure:

  1. Mix emulsions of the first and second phases in the ratio 1: 1.

On a note! If you have long hair, it is better to prepare the composition portionwise, so that the chemical reaction proceeds directly on the locks, and not in the bowl.
  2. Using a brush or directly from the dispenser, apply the product to the hair without affecting the natural roots, if any.

Tip: start flushing off the tips. Over the years of staining, they have accumulated a lot of dye and they will need more time for depigmentation.
  3. Leave the remedy for 20 minutes, then pull the composition off the strands with a disposable towel. Repeat at least three times or until the unwanted color completely disappears. Rinse the hair with clean water.

  4. Apply the neutralizer to a separate strand for three minutes. It serves as an indicator of whether you completely got rid of the undesirable tone. If the strand has darkened, then it is necessary to apply the first composition again.

  5. Thrice wash your hair with a deep cleansing shampoo.

After washing the color, it is necessary on the same day, but not earlier than 40 minutes after the procedure, to dye the hair in the desired color. The selected shade should be a lighter tone than the desired one, since after washing, the color goes to blackout. Therefore, for clarification, use a cream oxidizer with a high content of atomic oxygen than recommended in the instructions to the dye. For example, instead of 3%, take 6%, and 6% replace 9%.

Attention! After washing it is necessary to do only persistent staining! Normal toning with a toning balm or paint can trigger a return to the previous color.
