Healthy and proper nutrition of children

Did you notice that children's doctors of all specialties show interest in the child's nutrition? And this is not surprising, because the health and mood of the baby directly depend on what he eats. So, the theme "Healthy and proper nutrition of children" will never cease to be relevant.

Ideally, a child's food should give him enough energy, contain the most important nutrients (proteins, fats, carbohydrates), and also provide vitamins, trace elements and minerals. Of course, every time to monitor the contents of a baby's plate on dietary tables is difficult, and not necessary. It is enough to know the basic principles of proper nutrition and follow them.

ONCE AGAIN ABOUT THE MAIN ...

Delivering the menu for the baby, you always need to focus on the individual characteristics and tastes of the child. Most often, kids themselves can intuitively determine the set of products they need for growth and development - say pediatricians. Of course, parents should take care that the child chooses from natural, healthy, healthy foods, and not from semi-finished products and desserts.

Here are a few simple tips that will help provide the children with the necessary amount of nutrients.

# In most families, dinner is the only joint meal for parents and children. Try at least by means of it to supplement the "asset" of the baby: prepare a balanced, healthy food and eat in a relaxed, relaxed atmosphere.

# On a side dish to the main hot dishes, cook potatoes, pasta, rice or porridge. The general rule: meat - once or twice a week (and not every day, as many mothers believe), fish - at least once.

# Always put fresh vegetables, salads and fruits on the table. But do not get carried away by exotic fruits. In recent years, doctors are increasingly saying that it is most useful to eat vegetables and fruits growing in the climatic zone in which he lives.

# Do not go to extremes in pursuit of a healthy lifestyle. One of the rules of healthy and proper nutrition of children is the restriction in the consumption of sweets. But do not deprive the child of sweet food at all! Sugar is actively involved in metabolic processes and with its correct use (40-50 grams of sugar per day for a preschool child) has a beneficial effect on the body. Also, do not "put" the baby on a completely fat-free diet. Fatty acids, which are found in butter and vegetable oils, fish and meat, are necessary for normal brain growth and development of the ocular retina.

# Allow your child to sometimes eat his favorite food, but use flexible "food control". For example, do not prohibit chocolate, but distribute the tile for the whole week.

# And, finally, the main thing: watch out for what you eat yourself. It is not fair to persuade a toddler to eat carrots and to chew while eating a sandwich with smoked sausage.

IS IT POSSIBLE OR NOT?

Depending on the age of the child, the doctor may advise you to exclude some products from the children's menu. For example, till 6-7 years it is not recommended to give to children mushrooms, muesli, breakfast cereals, smoked cheeses and sausages, dishes fried but deep-fried. Listen to these tips. The fact is that in young children the digestive system does not yet produce all the necessary enzymes for processing this food. The products listed are too heavy for the baby and can cause digestive problems. So the position of some parents who from the early childhood stuff their kids with very childish food on the principle "let them get used to everything at once" can be called at least unreasonable.

THERE IS? I WILL NOT!

It is easy to follow the advice of a doctor if the baby eats any proposed dish with an appetite. But it happens that for all attempts of the mother to shove the optimally balanced food into the child, the treasure answers the persistent "I do not want!". Spits out the "right" meat souffl, for cooking which you spent 2 hours. It is choked with stuffed vitamins with freshly squeezed juice. Mom is panicking about the child's poor appetite and is worried that the baby will not get enough of the nutrients. What to do? First of all answer a few questions. With pleasure, does your child snack after a walk? Is his mood good during the day? Does he have enough energy to run, jump, play? And finally, does the weight of the child correspond to the age norm? If you answered any of these questions negatively, you need to show it to the doctor, perhaps the cause of poor appetite is hidden in any disease. If you answered all these questions positively, then your baby's appetite is ok, you just need to change the scheme and principles of feeding.

# Do not feed the child by force! This can lead to serious consequences: from reflex vomiting to a complete aversion to food. In addition, food, eaten without appetite, is poorly digested, and therefore, it is not much use from it.

# Look for options to replace the unloved child's dish with equivalent nutrition. Instead of cutlets, offer goulash, replace curd cheese cakes or lazy dumplings. Sometimes culinary collages (turtles made of cucumber, carrot path) or "appetizing" tales help. But to get involved in such "entertainment" is still not worth it - the kid will get used to them and will demand at every meal.

# Try to adhere strictly to the regime. And no "snacks", especially such high-calorie foods, as rolls, juices, sweets, cookies. It is better to offer yogurt, fruit, a slice of cheese.

# Initially, offer small portions to the baby. If the meal is not enough, put an additive.

# It is not necessary to create a stir around the reception of food. The less you focus on food, the more likely your baby will agree to eat. It is best to put the child at the table with adults and eat with pleasure. Own example will work better than any requests and persuasions.

HIT-PARADE OF THE MOST HARMFUL PRODUCTS

Hamburger

Like any other fast food product, a hamburger is harmful by definition. After all, doctors, as is known, are advised to eat slowly. Plus, high cholesterol, extra-calorie and so much fat that it is very, very difficult to reconcile with the children's stomach. Therefore, it is better to feed the baby in places where more useful dishes are prepared from natural products. If he categorically insists on a "harmful roll", explain that it should not be eaten more than 1-2 times a month.

Chips

The times when the chips made from potatoes have long since sunk into oblivion. Modern chips are pieces of dough based on potato starch, fried in large amounts of fat, reusable. That is, in one crispy slice - a whole store of hydrogenated fats, the use of which leads to obesity. Add here, and the increased content of acrylamide (carcinogenic substance), and it becomes clear why it is not worth "pampering" the kids with this product.

Chewing gum

It should be noted that the chewing gum is really capable of restoring the acid-base balance, but in general the magical properties of this product are greatly exaggerated. Teeth from the cure of chewing gum cleans only with chewing and cutting parts. As for the interdental spaces, the constant contact with the chewing gum leads to the formation of solid deposits and impairment of the tooth enamel. But since children do not always follow the advice of adults (chewing gum right after eating and not more than 10 minutes), they may have problems with digestion.
