How correctly to prepare for delivery of analyzes?

Each of us had to take those or other tests at least once in our life. It is not necessary to have any health problems, and it is required to hand over analyzes to healthy people, for example, when hiring or before leaving for abroad.
It would be great if everyone had their own personal doctor who could explain to him how to properly prepare for the tests.

But in real life the situation is quite different. Well, judge for yourself - when a person comes to see a doctor in the district clinic, the doctor tells him that they need appropriate tests, for example, blood or urine. Everything would be understandable, if not one "but" - what should be done before they are handed over in order to get reliable results? For some reason, this is a further story of communication with the doctor, is silent. To some extent, this is due to the lack of professionalism of doctors and not the desire to work, on the other hand, one can blame the modern health care system, not the doctor. Why? See for yourself - there are norms according to which a doctor takes 7 minutes to take a patient, and for a person who just came for a certificate or for a physical examination - only 5 minutes. Tell me, is it really possible in this time to tell a person about what follows and what should not be done on the eve of the test? Under such "chic" conditions, it would be time to give direction to the patient.

Now, if our doctors had given at least a little time to educate the illiterate population about the proper delivery of tests, then a great number of misunderstandings would have been avoided. And so, according to one poll conducted by the specialists of the research laboratory, it turned out that more than half of those who are standing in line with the analyzes in their hands do not even know that before the collection of urine it is necessary to thoroughly wash the external genitalia. As a result, after a simple question: "Why so?", Almost all respond: "We do not know, no one warned us."
There are a lot of analyzes, and to tell about each of them, you need a large book and maybe even one. Therefore, we will dwell only on the most common analyzes that each of us is required to take at least once a year.

Blood test.
The requirements that will now be considered apply to all blood tests, except for those that are called "specific." Some restrictions will be added to them.
1. Give blood should be on an empty stomach. After the last meal take at least 12 hours. For 2-3 days before the tests, refrain from eating fatty foods.
2. For a day completely eliminate the use of alcoholic beverages. There should be no thermal procedures (postpone visiting the bath "until better times"). At the same time, exclude heavy physical activity.
3. You can not do any kind of procedure (massage, nyxes, x-rays). Do not take any medications.
4. Sitting in front of the doctor's door, do not rush to "break into" the office as quickly as possible. Before the tests, sit and rest for 5-10 minutes.
As for the delivery of blood for glucose, then in addition to the above requirements, you should refuse the morning tea or coffee (even if unsweetened) and spit the cud.
When analyzing blood for biochemistry, you should ask the doctor about what you can eat on the eve of the test, and what is better to refuse. The fact is that any food can significantly affect the biochemical blood test. It is also important not to forget to learn about taking medication. If you are ashamed to ask everyone about this, then adjust your morale to the fact that the results, to put it mildly, may not be very reliable.

Delivery of blood to hormones.
Usually for this analysis, the doctor advises to refuse to take hormonal medications.
When you pass tests for sex hormones, you have to refrain from loving comfort for at least a day, and also try not to get excited. Otherwise, the results will not be what you would like, and accordingly the therapy will also be chosen incorrectly. For some female sex hormones, blood must be taken on certain days of the menstrual cycle. Since their concentration in the blood varies depending on the phase of the cycle.
Do not use iodine-containing preparations and products (sea kale), if the next day you have to go to pass the test to the level of thyroid hormones.

Analysis of urine.

Urinalysis as well as a blood test is common in medical practice. It should be remembered that some products and drugs can affect the result of the analysis. It should not be, the day before there is something salty or sour, since in your morning urine analysis, a significant amount of salts will be found. If you remember, a little earlier it was said that before the delivery of urine it is necessary to wash the genitals, and this should be done in the direction of the anus, and not from it. Among other things, an important role plays utensils, in which you plan to bring your tests. It should be thoroughly washed, and even better, if you boil it for several minutes. Do not take a jar of unstable plastic.
Women should refrain from analyzing urine during menstruation. If the case does not tolerate and analyzes are needed, like "blood from the nose," then use swabs and thoroughly wash. Some menstrual blood can get into the urine. And erythrocytes (blood cells) in the urine are a symptom of a serious kidney disease.
Remember several important points:
1.Strezhnat bladder for the delivery of the analysis should be in the morning, and not in the evening. If you suddenly have a desire to fill a jar for analysis in the evening hours, then be prepared for the fact that the result may be unreliable.

2. The first few milliliters should be drained past the jar, and everything else is naturally in the container, which should be approximated to perfectly clean.
Some people have a strange habit of bringing a liter bank with them. So do not follow. You will be enough to bring 50-100 ml of urine. Except for some specific urine tests, where you need a three-liter jar.
After you correctly prepare for the delivery of tests and do everything you can, then you can "relax" and wait for the results of the tests. But remember that these results are not yet a diagnosis. The final diagnosis will be put only by the attending physician, he will also choose the method of treatment.
