how to make a pu er
Not so long ago in the domestic market there was a new kind of tea called Puer. Get it by prolonged drying in the sun of tea leaves with their further pressing. Thanks to this unusual technology, the taste of the drink becomes tart and rich. In this article I would like to give some advice on how to brew puer.

Traditional Recipe

A very important role in the preparation of tea is played by water, it must be purified and soft, without foreign odors and harmful impurities. Spring water has such qualities, but if you do not have access to a natural source, you can use the purchased one.

There are two main varieties of puer, the cooking technology of which differs a little:

  1. Shu Puer is black tea. Brew it should be boiled water, reached 90-100 ° C, and sometimes it even left to puff in a special container. After the drink is consumed for 5 minutes, you will get a very dark, almost black liquid, which has a pronounced taste and smell with minor earthy notes.
  2. Shen Puer refers to green tea and is prepared according to a slightly different technology. The temperature of the water for brewing should not exceed 80-85 ° C, and it is not necessary to insist it for too long, since a bitter taste may appear. It is best to hold the drink for 2-3 minutes, and then pour on the cups.

When the kettle is freed from the liquid, pour into it another serving of boiling water. This procedure can be repeated 5 to 10 times, depending on the quality of the product.

Brewing puer in tablets

This type of tea is a collection of dried leaves, compressed in the form of a round or square tablet. The preparation of such a drink is not much different from the traditional recipe. Consider the technology in stages:

  1. Take a suitable container and put a pill there. Pretend it well with a spoon.
  2. Pour boiling water into the bowl, after 5 seconds drain the water.
  3. Count 30 seconds and brew tea again with water, the temperature of which is 95-100 ° C. After 2-3 minutes the drink can be poured into cups and enjoy its delicate taste and aroma.
  4. Thus, one tablet can be used up to 10 times, with which, with each subsequent preparation, the infusion time should be slightly increased. In this issue, focus, first of all, on your taste preferences.

This recipe is slightly different from the previous two. Puer in a mandarin can be poured hot water no more than 3-4 times. In this case, the tea leaves should be left in a closed vessel for 4 minutes, adding slices of mandarin peel there. Some connoisseurs of this tea prefer to use leaves only once, but at the same time they are insisted in the kettle for at least 10 minutes. Such a drink turns out to be very strong and saturated, giving all its taste.
