How to teach a child to learn the colors

The development of a child is something that most of all worries responsible and conscious parents. After all, we understand how much the future of our children depends on our actions. Especially we are experiencing for the earliest period: after six months and up to two years, until the child gets into the kindergarten under the sensitive guidance of trained teachers. Our task is to give the very foundation from which the pedagogues will later start. The development of the child consists of many truly important moments, and the ability to recognize and call colors is one of them. Today we want to stop our attention on how to properly educate a child to recognize colors.

In fact, there are many teaching techniques that will tell you how to properly teach a child to recognize the color and call it. You can safely buy them on the shelves of shops or trade pavilions - because in our time, various techniques are becoming more popular. But it is possible to teach the child to recognize the basic colors and with the help of simple "home" exercises.

As for store toys - then stop your attention on sorter - it's an excellent developing fun for the kid, and it not only teaches the crumb to recognize the colors, but also introduces the child to the notion of shapes and sizes. You can take to start a small cube-sorter, with multi-colored sides and one liner on each of them. Ask the child to find a red circle - and insert it into the hole on the red side of the cube, pick a suitable figure by the color to the blue face. It is only desirable to take sorter with natural basic colors: red, yellow, blue, green, white, black. After all, now the store shelves are teeming with toys of "poisonous" shades, to identify and name which sometimes is beyond the power even to us, adults.

Another great toy that correctly and correctly teaches the baby flowers, as well as indispensable for the development of fine motor skills and fantasy crumbs is a mosaic. You can offer the kid to collect pictures according to the scheme - of course, if he has already grown to this level of tasks. Or give him full freedom of creativity. However, still manage at least slightly - your task in mosaic games will be the naming of the colors of the elements that the kid takes from the box. First, just clear comments, and only then, when you see progress in studying colors - you can proceed to "order" elements of certain colors.

But these are still optional exercises - we believe that the study of flowers should begin immediately, introducing their names into the names of the objects that surround your child. It is very important to choose the right vector of classes. For example, you can base lessons on your child's favorite toys. If it's a boy who just squeals with delight after seeing the cars - that's great! Clippers can be an excellent visual aid for studying colors. Just need to buy several identical machines of different colors - and in the course of the game show the child that, they say, the red car is, it is in the garage, and the yellow one is on the road, here it overtakes the blue car that crashes into the white car. Of course, do not immediately overload the baby with new information, but remember the simple rule: the names of colors should always be turned in conversation, and with a clear indication of the subject.

As for the machines, if you have a lot of them - you can arrange another training game, which at the same time will teach the baby to fold the scattered toys. From small boxes (if space permits), make several multi-colored "garages". And try together with the baby to figure out which car is coming to which garage by color. Let him put all the red cars - in a red garage, or though near him, and blue ones - in blue.

The same exercises can be done and, for example, with balls. This is especially easy if you have an inflatable "dry" pool filled with colorful plastic balls. Sprinkle the balls around the room and ask the child to collect all the yellow balls in the pool first, then all the green, blue, red ... Doing this exercise constantly, you will notice how the balls of the color you need are after your request.

In the list of home games for teaching colors, we can add the following: sew a child a few capacious pockets on Velcro, they must all be of different colors (you can also make different in texture - at the same time will develop the same small motor skills). Then find in the house several toys, objects, pictures matching the pockets of flowers. Fold them in a bag, let the child take out the object - and put in the pocket of the right color.

Excellent if your child likes to draw with pencils or felt-tip pens! Perhaps, these first lessons of fine art can be the best base for studying flowers. Of course, now, while the crumb is still too small and can not hold felt pens in your hand, you will still be the main artist - but let the kid also take an active part in drawing! Ask him to choose the color of the markers for the drawing. For example, ask him to bring a yellow felt-tip pen, because you will paint the sun, and the sun is yellow. Next, ask him to draw a green grass, selecting before that a marker of the desired color. At the same time, be sure to comment on all your actions, describe the drawing and the objects depicted on it.

Another game with pens, which will help you teach your child to recognize the base and derived colors, will pick up the caps to the marker in color. Remove all lids and mix them, then remove from the pile one marker and ask the crumb to find a cap for it. Gently direct and help the baby, because for him it's really hard work!

Are not you afraid to get dirty yourself and stain the baby? Then buy finger paints - and enjoy the creativity, while studying the colors in parallel.

The next home game, probably, will be more suitable for girls - after all they so like to try on mum's wardrobe and to search among the veshchichek what, in their opinion, will make a harmonious suit. Read the tale of Little Red Riding Hood with the little one, study the pictures, and ask the baby to find among the things those that would fit into the image of this fairy-tale character. That is, simply put, ask the child to put on the same Little Red Riding Hood. Or think of some interesting reason why a child should be dressed in the same way as his mom or dad - let him try to pick up something similar in color and size.

And, of course, you can teach the baby to recognize the basic colors, just walking along the street. If the window is summer, then train on the flowers. Give the child an interesting task: for example, to break a bouquet for the grandmother, which would consist only of yellow flowers. Then the task can be complicated: "order" a crochet for a daddy, consisting of their white and blue inflorescences. In autumn, you can try to ask the child to show the last green among the yellow and red leaves. Think of some enticing fairy tale: for example, how many he will find green leaves on the bush, so many times you take him to the zoo. Well, in the winter it's very good to learn a white color. The main thing is not to forget to reinforce the received knowledge even at home, in the process of other games.

As you can see, it is possible to correctly educate a child to recognize and call colors, and even necessary. It is only necessary to make some effort and have patience. Because nothing is obtained from the first time, sometimes you need to wait a long time for the learning outcomes to become apparent in practice. However, anyway, they will all appear sooner or later, because we all grew up - and we know the colors, the question is only how quickly the parents want to teach the child flowers.

The last remark: if you spent a lot of time teaching color, and the results are not there, the child randomly jabs his finger at random and does not fall into the right colors - this is an excuse to turn to narrow specialists, since there is a small share of the likelihood that the baby can have color blindness.

Dare, occupy with the child - and very soon he will know all the colors, and your soul will calm down - because the kid will not be behind anything from peers, and someone, perhaps, will even overtake in development!
