How to paint fur at home

Natural fur at all times looks exquisite. Most modern fashionistas dream of having in their wardrobe a beautiful fur garment. But despite the quality modern fur products, after a while they require some restoration, in particular painting. The color may just fade or you may want to create a new thing from the previously used fur strips. We will talk about how to refresh the fur color, and do it yourself at home. Update Materials
Getting to work, you need to prepare certain materials. In particular this: a board, slaked lime, alum and iron vitriol, and a brush. To eliminate greasy soiling, you need to use a solution of water, salt, ammonia, soda and detergent. In addition, it is necessary to prepare the paint. This can be an ordinary hair dye or aerosol paint in a can. It all depends on what kind of fur you need to paint and what color you want to get.

Preparation of fur
Before starting the procedure for painting fur, it must be cleaned beforehand of any possible contaminants, since it may simply not absorb the dye, which will lead to uneven staining.

To clean the fur it is necessary to use a special solution, at a temperature of 35-38 ° C. To make it, you need to dissolve 20 grams of salt, 2 drops of detergent, 2 grams of soda and 2-3 grams of ammonia in one liter of water. In such a solution, skins are lowered for about 1 hour, during which time they must be periodically mixed. After 60 minutes, the fur should be carefully wrung out and using normal clean water, rinse. Thus, you can be sure that the fur is almost completely cleaned of fat.

Now you need to wash the fur. For this, a solution consisting of 10 liters of water, 150 grams of alum, 250 grams of vitriol and half a kilogram of hydrated lime is used. This mixture should be applied to the skin with a clean brush. Next, leave the skins to dry completely, and then rinse them in clean water. Now that the fur items are cleaned, you can start painting.

Once again, if you want to paint the fur skins qualitatively, you need to take care of their cleanliness, and also carefully stretch the skin on the plate and fasten it. In this case, the underside of the skin must be treated with glycerin, so that there is no damage. Next, apply the paint, and then rinse and dry completely.

Features of fur
If you want to paint fox fur, then you can use dark tones, and if you want to return the original color to the fur, then you can use a can for suede. At the same time, spray the paint at a distance of 60 cm, so that the fur is stained only with tips. After spraying the paint, the fur must be combed immediately so that the hairs do not stick together.

In order to repaint the natural fur, you can use hair dye. The result is a quality color with excellent shine. However, it is worthwhile to know that after about 8 months the paint will begin to fade or even wipe, which indicates that it's time to paint fur again.

If you want to lighten the tone of fur, then do not immediately paint it all. The thing is that the structure of the fur can show unpredictable results. Therefore it is better to try on a small piece of fur. If the result satisfies you, then you can start painting the entire product.

Final stroke
After painting, when the fur is completely dry, you should use the usual balm for your hair. Then rinse it and dry it at room temperature. This will give softness and shine to the new product.
