1 teaspoon of any of these acids to dilute in a glass of water and heat almost to a boil. Cloth with a stain quickly lowered into the resulting solution and thoroughly rinsed with water with the addition of a pinch of baking soda or ammonia. If the rust stain is not removed from the first time, repeat the procedure several times.
Hydrochloric acid
Material with a rusty stain can be dropped into a 2% solution of hydrochloric acid and held until the stain comes off. Then the material should be thoroughly rinsed, adding ammonia to the water (1 liter of water - 3 tablespoons ammonia).
Oxalic acid and potassium carbonate
A rust stain can also be removed with a solution of oxalic acid (2 tablespoons) with potassium carbonate (1 tablespoon) per glass of water. To prepare the mixture, the acid and potassium carbonate should be dissolved separately, each ingredient in 100 ml of water, and then mix the resulting solutions. Instead of potassium carbonate, soda (sodium carbonate) is also suitable, but you will have to take more water to prepare the solution and the result of removing rust stains will not be so effective. The damaged part of the tissue is treated with a cotton swab, after which the tissue must be rinsed.
Lemon
You can remove the stain of rust with a piece of lemon, wrapped in gauze. It should be put on the work area and pressed with a hot iron. If the damaged fabric is white, then after the treatment, the stain should be moistened with hydrogen peroxide or rub it in a dry person. After 5-10 minutes, the tissue can be rinsed.
Tartaric acid and table salt
To remove the stain, it is necessary to prepare a mixture of tartaric acid and table salt (1: 1), mix it with water, prepare the slurry to apply to a rusty stain. Then the fabric is recommended to be pulled on any object and placed in the sun until the spot disappears completely. Next, the product must be rinsed in cold water, after washing in warm water, using soap and rinse thoroughly again.
Hyposulfite
To prepare the solution, take 15 grams of hyposulfite per glass of water, mix, warm up to a temperature of 65 ° C. In the resulting solution, you should lower the stained fabric, hold it until the stain disappears, then rinse first warm, then - with cold water.
How to remove a rust stain from a colored cloth
The above listed methods of removing rust stains are suitable for processing white fabrics and are not applicable to colored materials. With a colored cloth, the rust stain can be removed with a mixture of soap, glycerin and water (1: 1: 1). The prepared mixture should be rubbed on the treated area, and after a day the product should be washed and rinsed.
