There are sheepskins using velor with and without coating. Sheepskin without coating is a polished skin. This sheepskin coat looks expensive and luxurious. But such things quickly get dirty. But the sheepskin coats are treated with a special composition, which consists of various additives and natural resins. Such sheepskins are more practical.
There are many ways to clean the sheepskins from various contaminants:
- So, if your sheepskin dust is covered, you can vacuum it with an ordinary vacuum cleaner with a soft brush.
- From dry dirt you can get rid of with a hard brush, and afterwards in soapy water, you need to moisten a soft brush and clean off any remaining dirt.
- Remember that a sheepskin made of leather is different from ordinary fabric. If you put a stain from wine - it can be removed with the help of manga and starch. To do this, sprinkle them on the contamination site, wait for a while and clean it with a soft brush.
- Lean spots can be removed with the eraser. You need to take an ordinary clerk eraser and rub the dirty place, and soon remove the dirt with a soft brush.
- Very ancient method - cleaning bread. Suitable for long-lasting stains. To do this you will need 2-3 small pieces of bread. The mechanism of purification is as in the previous paragraph.
- From the stuck spots you can get rid of using gauze soaked in gasoline. After that, you need to remove the residue of gasoline with a soap solution. This method is rather risky, because you can spoil the whole product, and you have to spend money on new winter clothes, so it's better to test gasoline first on a small inner area of the sheepskin coat.
- Dirty lapel sleeves, pockets or collar can be cleaned with a hard brush, a small amount of ammonia and a tooth powder. To do this, wet the brush in a solution of ammonia and tooth powder (the powder can be replaced with purified talcum powder or baby powder).
- Cleaning stains with chemicals;
- Complete cleaning with detergent;
- Impregnation providing partial water resistance (this will help protect the thing from rain, snow);
- Tinting is the restoration of the primary color. This process necessarily goes through all the burnt and old things;
- The final stage is processing by means of a press. This will help restore the shape and appearance of the sheepskin coat.
