Especially it can concern the holes located on the inner sides of the pants, on those sites that are close to the pope or to the knees. Often, you can tear completely new jeans, just by accident for something caught. What can be done in this case, how to return the jeans as before an excellent view? There are three options - you close the hole on your jeans with a small patch, sew up or turn a hole into a beautifully shaped fashion slot.
Making patches
- First of all, we are looking for a fabric that best suits the texture and color (the material can be taken from old and unnecessary jeans, jackets, skirts and other);
- We spread out the jeans so that the hole was clearly visible and mark its contour slightly enlarged;
- From the tissue found, we cut out a piece of cloth along the intended contour, which is then sewn with a sewing machine a little;
- We apply the received patch to the inside of the jeans and fix it with pins or small stitches;
- On the sewing machine sew a patch of jeans - from the wrong side;
- And, finally, we turn out the jeans on the front side and work out the places where the patch is connected with jeans.
Sew a hole, located somewhere in the area of the knees, you can use decorative decals or ready-made appliqués. When using such a patch, it is allowed not to handle the edges too carefully, leaving them slightly untangled. In addition, decorative plates can be made from another, not denim fabric. Material for them, for example, can become a chicon if you are going to repair summer jeans or leather, wool and drapery for winter jeans. It is also possible to make patches of various shapes, starting with banal squares, rectangles and rhombuses.
Another option of repair is gluing the lacquer with the use of gluey spider webs - this method can also be applied quite well in the repair of jeans. In doing so, we take the right application, which must completely cover the hole, strengthen the hole with non-woven fabric or dublerin, after which, cutting out the glue web with the help of hot iron, apply the application we need.
Doing darning
To fix a hole located on jeans, using a darning, it is possible only if it is triangular in shape or looks like a "semicircular" abrasion. The first variety is a triangular hole, which is a piece of cloth, torn off along the transverse and share thread, we just gently return to the place and sew it with threads selected in tone. To seam too tightly, it can be continued and make a kind of a streaked rectangle.
Frayed areas, as in the photo, should be repaired as follows:
- First, how should we iron the place of rubbing with an iron;
- We turn inside out and strengthen this place with a lining fabric, such as a glutinous cobweb or doublerine;
- On the front side, we remove all sticking threads;
- We select the entire area of abrasion in parallel with the location of the "grooves" on the fabric.
It is best to close holes in this way, located in less noticeable places.
We transform a hole into a stylish slot
This option is the easiest to implement, but it is suitable only for small holes located on the front side of the tower. With this method, the hole grows slightly, after which its edges are shattered, and transverse threads are removed from it.
Useful recommendations:
- Before you sew a hole on your jeans, it's best to wash your jeans;
- If you use a different fabric or applique, make sure that it responds adequately to the hot iron;
- If you doubt your sewing and darning skills, then it is better to ask someone more experienced in this matter.
