Ilya Reznik called greedy Russian stars who returned to Jurmala

Today a new music festival "Rendezvous" starts in Jurmala, organized by Laima Vaikule. For four days, the audience will be entertained by the stars of Russian and Ukrainian show business.

Among the participants of the festival Maxim Galkin, Kristina Orbakaite, Lolita, Elena Vaenga, Alexander Buinov, Soso Pavliashvili, Vladimir Vinokur, Larisa Dolina, Edita Pyekha with her grandson and daughter, Vladimir Presnyakov and Natalia Podolskaya, the groups Konstantin Meladze MBABD and VIA Gra, Grigory Leps, Verka Serdyuchka, Potap and Nastya and other popular performers. Alla Pugacheva will become a special guest of the Jurmala festival, which for several years remained the muse of the "New Wave".

The Internet community regarded the participation of Russian stars in the festival in Jurmala as a betrayal, because two years ago there was a scandal: Valery, Iosif Kobzon and Oleg Gazmanov were not allowed to go to Latvia. Provocation of Latvian officials forced Russia to abandon the "New Wave" in Jurmala, and in 2015 the competition was held in Sochi.

Unprincipled Russian artists outraged Ilya Reznik

The latest news outraged the popular songwriter Ilya Reznik. The author of dozens of hits of Russian pop stars believes that two years ago, when Latvia unexpectedly closed the entrance for three Russian performers, their colleagues had to gather and leave. The current return of domestic artists in Jurmala Reznik considers treason:
This is the actor's essence - selling. Our artists are mostly unscrupulous! This unscrupulousness and the desire to make money ultimately leads to such "little betrayals".

According to Ilya Reznik, no arguments of the stars who went to the festival, arranged by Laima Vaikule, can not justify the true reasons for such an act - the desire to earn:
Explanations they can find any: let's be friends and so on. It does not cause me any respect. They revealed their essence, you see? This is greed. Many built there, in Jurmala, palaces and mansions, and they also need to be maintained. I do not want to denounce them, but for me this festival is a regrettable event.
