Cranberry kvas Kvass refers to soft drinks. Especially it is by the way on a hot summer day. Recipes for cooking kvass at home are quite a lot. In addition to the usual bread kvass, you can make kvass with horseradish, lemon, beetroot, fruit and berry, honey, and also more exotic drinks, for example, from carrots, rhubarb. I suggest preparing a delicious kvass from cranberries.
Ingredients:- Cranberry fresh 300 g
- Sugar 200g
- Water 1 l
- Yeast, fresh 10 g
- Step 1 To prepare the kvass you need to take fresh cranberries, sugar, yeast and water.
- Step 2 Pour the cranberries with boiling water and leave until the liquid is completely cool.
- Step 3 Blanched water (1 L) is poured into a separate pan, and the berries are wiped through a colander.
- Step 4 Pour the sugar into the blanching water and boil until it dissolves completely. Cool the syrup to room temperature.
- Step 5 Dissolve the yeast in a small amount of warm water.
- Step 6 Cranberry puree, sugar syrup and yeast pour into a jar with a capacity of 2 liters. Stir the mixture, cover with a towel and put overnight in a warm place for fermentation.
- Step 7 The next day kvass strain through several layers of gauze, pour into bottles, close them with stoppers and put in a cold place. Kvass will be ready in 2-3 days.
