- flour - 3 Cups
- sugar - 1 st. a spoon
- salt - 1 teaspoon
- a pack of yeast - 1 piece
- water - 3/4 Glass
- milk - 1/4 Glass
- butter or margarine - 2 Art. spoons
In a bowl, mix 2 cups of flour, sugar, salt and yeast. In a saucepan, heat water, milk and butter to 120 - 130 degrees Fahrenheit. Add dry ingredients; whisk until smooth. Add enough flour to form a soft dough. Place on a floured surface; knead until smooth and elastic consistency, about 4 minutes. Do not let us go up. Divide in half. Roll each part into a rectangle. Roll off, starting from the short side; snap the edge. Put the loaf in the mold. Fill the pan 1 inch with hot water. Lay out the forms with bread in a pot of water. Cover and let stand for 15 minutes. Remove the bread from the water bath. Bake at 400 degrees Fahrenheit 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
