Music and preschool children

Everyone understands that music is interesting and attractive for preschool children. But what kind of music do preschoolers prefer, how to develop musicality in a child? Such questions are rarely of interest to parents. Usually, parents remember that the child will not be prevented from learning music when he has already gone to school. But teaching in school reading, math brings the child moral satisfaction, since now he can independently read poems and fairy tales that his mother read to him, he himself can produce not complicated mathematical actions. All this contributes to the development of the child. And what happens when learning music? So, the theme of our today's article is "Music and preschool children".

The child is forced to learn notes, learn scales, various musical sketches, teach how to properly hold your fingers, how to sit properly. But a child, especially a preschool child, does not consider all this to be music. Very often a child learns to play an instrument, but does not learn, not a single child's song that he knows. And the music that he is forced to teach, he does not understand, music classes accordingly become not interesting. Therefore, it is necessary to develop musicality in children from early childhood. If the child has a lot of musical impressions, it is much easier for him to understand and listen to different music. It is known that already in the womb of the mother the fetus reacts to music, especially positively on the classical: Mozart, Bach, Vivaldi. Of course, the musical taste of the child is influenced by the environment in which the baby is growing, the musical preferences of his parents. At first, the child likes classical music (a greater percentage of children are interested in classical music), then as music grows older, music from cartoons is added, music that he hears on the radio and television. What does the child think about music, what is its role in human life?
Most preschoolers believe that music is simply necessary for a person. Under it you can sing, dance, be sad, have fun, relax, celebrate holidays, so they express their attitude to music. In general, pre-school children prefer a fun, moving music.
Pre-schoolers know that music composers write music, they know some musical instruments, mostly it's a piano, a drum, a guitar. At this age they understand that music can be played on several instruments at the same time. Children distinguish musical genres: they can distinguish waltz, march. Understand what ballet is, but it's hard for them to perceive: opera, choral music. The favorite musical genre of children is a song. Children sing, when they play, when they bathe, dress. They sing, because they feel the need for their emotional expression. They sing when they want to assert themselves in their collective. They sing when they want to attract the attention of others. Preschoolers like to combine different activities: singing and dancing, playing a musical instrument and singing along with themselves, drawing and listening to music or singing. Children are able to distinguish the nature of musical works. When guests come, they ask to put cheerful music, in the kindergarten they prefer children's songs or classical music. At home they like to listen to modern songs.

Try to maintain this love for music from the child. Explain some musical works, find excerpts from musical works that express different emotions. After all at this age the child only learns to understand and listen to music. If you like to sing, do it with the child. Try to have the child listen to classical music every day, you can make five minutes: include a classical piece of music and relax a little, relax together with the child. Attend theaters, preschool children like to watch ballet, Tchaikovsky's "The Nutcracker" is very well received. If a child is involved in a music school, it is very important that parents take an active part in teaching. Arrange home concerts in which, together with the child, perform various musical works, let it be children's songs, or maybe something from modern songs. Taking part in such concerts, the child understands that he brings joy, fun, and therefore music is good. Encourage the child's play on a musical instrument that he learns at a music school, even if it seems to you that the child is playing, not very well, first applause, and then tactfully say your remarks. But, in no case do not force the preschooler to study music, if you see that these lessons are unpleasant for him.
Remember that music classes develop intellectually. At musical lessons all parts of the brain work. Various studies show that music education improves reading success, develops hearing, spatial thinking, develops the moral qualities of the child. Listening to short musical fragments activates the analytical departments of the brain

Now you know how closely the music and children of preschool age are closely connected.
