Creative experiments with styles are not always successful. But the Scandinavian Provence is a bright exception. It combines Nordic minimalism and the cozy atmosphere of French countryside. The combination of the incongruous leads to an amazing paradox - a harmonious and calming design.
The main colors of the style are all the same shades of white, gray and beige. But in the "southern" interpretation they are softened by pastel accents - they can zonate space or arrange the right accents. Textiles with floristic patterns, tablecloths and covers of hand embroidery, skillfully aged frames and mirrors, vases with fresh flowers - all these are characteristic details of "spiritualized" simplicity.
Furniture for the Scandinavian Provence is made of light or bleached wood, it is laconic and functional. But under the northern severity of the lines "provincial" cute features are guessed: filigree ornaments and bas-reliefs, carved elements, mosaic insets and fantasy fittings. Completion of the interior gives multi-level lighting, creating the illusion of an infinite space filled with sun and heat.
