A musician was born in Moscow on March 8, 1984. Both mother and father are accordionists. Father was a teacher of the mother in accordion class at the Rostov Conservatory. The student and the teacher got married and have lived in marriage for 35 years, brought up three children: Peter and his two older sisters, Zhenya and Lida, who, incidentally, were also taught music since childhood, and they became pianists. Father Peter - People's Artist of Russia, Professor of the Gnesin Academy and, as already said, a teacher. It is the fact that parents are engaged in music, and became for Petya decisive in choosing a future profession. Peter began to study music from childhood, and his father became his first teacher. When Peter was 6 years old, he entered the Moscow School of Arts. Svyatoslav Richter. In 1991, the boy began to study at Moscow's secondary school No. 940. Peter's progress was average, and he often violated discipline.
In March 1996, the first real success came to the 12-year-old Peter - he was awarded the title of laureate of the 6th Moscow Open Contest of Accordionists, and in October of the same year - the title of laureate of the International Accordion Competition in Castelfidardo (Italy). These first victories brought the young musician a vocation and success. The young man had time and practice on the accordion for six hours, and win contests, as well as singing in a punk band and playing there on the bass guitar.
In 1997, Dranga spoke at the 13th International Festival in St. Petersburg. At the age of 14 Peter began to study the variety genre, mixing punk rock with an accordion. In 1998, the young man took part in the International Festival in Beijing and in the Accordion Competition in Spain, where he received the title of laureate. And in 1999 Peter became a laureate at the VII Moscow Open Competition, after which he began to play in the concert programs of the Russian Cultural Foundation. When Peter graduated from high school, he successfully entered the Gnesin Musical College. As a student, he continued to work in the Cultural Foundation.
In January 2000, Peter earned the title of laureate of the 1st All-Russian Musicians Contest "New Names". In May of the same year Peter felt himself independent and decided to live separately from his parents. To have money, he began working as a cleaner in the cinema, combining work with music and studying. The cinema had a dirty aquarium, which Peter promised the director to clean, although he himself did not understand the aquariums. But Peter convinced the authorities that he had experience in this. He was believed and given a small salary. Petya went to the bookstore to learn the aquarium business. A few days later, he and his friends brought cleanliness and order in the aquarium. Soon Peter did not just clean the aquariums, but also designed them (he drew knowledge from the Internet and books). Then the young man expanded his business - he started breeding fish, guinea pigs, snakes and even crocodiles for sale. And a couple of years Peter decided to start building swimming pools and country ponds. Calculations he did himself, and in the life of ideas embodied a special working team. Customers often deceived the young man and did not pay money. Zoology and pools have receded into the background, giving way to the main hobby - music, because years in 15 Peter suddenly realized that he was being listened to, and received great pleasure from it. At the school, Peter played academic compositions, and in the evening he performed in clubs, where he played variety, and jazz, and his works.
In 2001 the vocal-instrumental ensemble "Torra" was created. Almost all free time Peter devoted to the arrangement. In the winter of 2001, the musician is experiencing financial difficulties and, in order to have a livelihood, he goes to work as a musician in the restaurant, continuing to arrange his works in his spare time. Team Torra broke up due to conflicts of a personal nature. In the summer of 2002, Dranga goes to the North Caucasus in search of earnings, where he remains without a penny. Then the event takes him to the owner of a local restaurant, which offers him a job. Having earned some money, Peter returned to Moscow and created his own small studio. Soon a new musical collective "Overdrive" was formed and began to perform in Moscow restaurants and clubs with a new program from September of the same year.
Parodist Alexander Peskov once noticed Dranga at one of the performances and invited him to his show. Peter toured a lot with the team Peskov, visited many Russian cities. This became good stage practice and experience of concert performances. At the same time, Peter for the first time toured abroad: in the US and Italy. After graduation from the school, Peter entered the academy. Gnessins. Since November 2004 Dranga's concert activity has become very active. Currently, Peter is on tour, participates in TV projects, his music is broadcast on radio stations. Peter participates in charitable actions, and also is the founder of Dranga-Music company, whose goal is to promote talented young performers and composers. The International Charitable Foundation awarded Peter Drang with the Order "For the Revival of Patronage and Charity Traditions".
