Pie "Sunflower" This cake, baked from a yeast dough "cold" preparation, is original in its shape and taste. The aroma of oranges and cinnamon, the taste of a kozinaka with seeds in the central filling, soft dough with a thin brittle crust will certainly conquer all lovers of yeast baking. This cake will be an excellent treat for a festive table and the decoration of a tea party with the family or with guests. Portions of dough from this quantity of ingredients is enough for one large pie about 40 cm in diameter. A quarter of the test can stay on buns or small pies.
Ingredients:- Milk 1 tbsp.
- Butter 200 g
- Eggs chicken 2 pcs.
- Sugar 0.5 tbsp.
- Salt 0.5 tsp.
- Wheat flour 5 tbsp.
- Yeast, dry 11 g
- Sugar 0.5 tbsp.
- Orange 2 pcs.
- Cinnamon powder 2 tsp.
- Seeds of sunflower peeled 60 g
- Sugar 0.5 tbsp.
- Honey 2 tbsp. l.
- Cream 70 ml
- Butter 50 g
- Chocolate black 5 g

- Step 1 To make a pie, we need a "cold" preparation dough, oranges for a peel and juice, sugar, cinnamon, peeled sunflower seeds, honey, cream, butter.
- Step 2 Let the dough warm up for 30 minutes, at this time we prepare the fillings. Oranges are good with my hot water, after which we remove the peel from them with a very fine grater, so that it is a mushy consistency.
- Step 3 Squeeze the juice from one orange, add 1.5 tablespoons of sugar and zest, stir.
- Step 4 Put the peeled seeds, honey, cream, sugar into the pan, bring it to the boil, reduce the heat and boil for another 5 minutes, controlling that the sugar does not begin to change color. Caramelization we do not need, since the mixture will still be affected by the temperature when baking.
- Step 5 The warmed dough is divided into 8 equal parts.
- Step 6 Roll each part as thinly as possible (up to 2 mm). Using a plate, cut out a circle. The diameter of the plate should be 2 times smaller than the width of the tray. I have a plate 20 cm in diameter. We collect the dough scraps, they will be needed.
- Step 7 Put the rolled cake on a baking sheet with two layers of baking paper. Lubricate the circle with orange mass, sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. We do the same with two pieces of the test.
- Step 8 Cover the fourth circle with the previous three. We make cross-shaped incisions not reaching the edge so that we get eight triangles.
- Step 9 Bend each triangle with all the layers outward, get a ring of petals.
- Step 10 The remaining four pieces of dough are prepared in the same way on a separate plate.
- Step 11 Move the second part of the four layers to the center of the ring on the baking sheet so that the upper "petals" are located between the lower ones. We remove in parts the top sheet of paper, since it is likely to be stained with a sweet filling.
- Step 12 Cut the pieces of dough from the trimming circle into a circle of slightly larger size than the empty pie center. We put the circle in the center, lifting the edges to the "petals". Fill the middle with a mass of seeds.
- Step 13 Lubricate the pie with the egg and bake for 20-30 minutes in the oven at 180 ° C. Readiness is tested with a wooden skewer. Sprinkle the middle of the hot pie with chopped chocolate chips to give the color of the ripe sunflower.
