Quality of food in kindergarten

Probably every parent who is preparing to give his child to a kindergarten is concerned with such a question as the quality of food in the kindergarten. This excitement of the parents is understandable. The media has repeatedly covered any cases of poisoning of children in the gardens, which provokes parental fear of catering in pre-school institutions. But we want to reassure you, these are the exceptions to the rules rather than the regularity, the quality of food in the gardens is strictly controlled and almost always meets the highest standards.

Speaking about the quality of nutrition in kindergartens, first of all I would like to draw attention to the fact that it is strictly controlled by the relevant permissive and recommendation documents. That is, the Department of Education determines the number, types and cycles of food consumption by children in orchards, based on their physiological needs. Further, at all stages of the organization of baby food, quality control is carried out, both by various relevant state bodies, and by the kindergarten management itself.

Suppliers of products

Private kindergartens have the right to independently choose suppliers whose products, in their opinion, are of the highest quality. Unlike private, kindergartens, which are kept by the state, buy food only from those suppliers that were selected by the state following the results of the tender. At the same time, there is a list of products (sugar, pasta, cereals, etc.), which are allowed to be purchased at wholesale markets, but only on condition that documents confirming their quality are available.

Delivery of products to the kindergarten is carried out only with the obligatory availability of the relevant documents: quality certificate, veterinary certificate and invoice. Without these documents, the admission of products to any children's institution is strictly prohibited. At the same time, the keeper of the kindergarten and, without fail, the doctor and nurse must take the goods. An obligatory condition for the enterprises engaged in the delivery of products to kindergartens is the availability of a health certificate for the car, a sanitary booklet for the driver and all people who accompany the goods.

Labels from the products supplied to the garden, on which the date of production is indicated, must be kept for two days in a children's institution for monitoring. Both private and budget kindergartens are strictly controlled by a special commission, as well as by a sanitary and epidemiological station. The latter exercises control over the supplier firms, which, often, value their reputation, therefore they are responsible for the quality of their products.

Kitchens for kindergartens

Preparation of breakfasts and dinners takes place in the kitchen. In any kindergarten the kitchen is equipped with modern equipment. The budget of the state necessarily determines the funds that are allocated for the purchase of this equipment: ovens, electric cookers, frying cupboards, boilers, utensils, various kitchen utensils.

Sanitary requirements applied to kitchens of kindergartens, regulate their separation into separate zones - meat, vegetable and hot shops, for cutting raw food, a room for washing dishes. Chopping boards should be wooden with appropriate inscriptions: "for meat", "for vegetables", etc. Dismantling knives should also be applied to a certain type of product.

All food products are specially processed and stored in separate refrigerators, that is, finding, for example, meat on one shelf with butter is excluded. Therefore, in this kitchen there are several refrigerators.

Necessarily the cooks of a kindergarten should leave in a refrigerator on one portion of each, cooked on this day, dishes for a day. At any check, you can easily determine what the children ate on that day.

Products of own production

Private kindergartens and gardens that are financed from the budget have the right to harvest food for themselves in the winter: salt tomatoes, cucumbers, cabbage, freeze fruit and berries in freezers, make a supply of potatoes and other suitable for long-term storage, vegetables. However, such blanks must be checked by the sanitary and epidemiological station, which must confirm the quality of such products and issue the appropriate certificate.
