In the fifties Fidel together with his brother Raul and Ernesto Che Guevara organized an uprising against the dictatorial regime of Batista. Only 82 people supported the hot revolutionaries at that time.

After the victory of the revolution in 1959, Fidel became the head of the country's government and remained in office until 2008.
