The cornucopia since the time of antiquity is the symbol of an inexhaustible source of all blessings. The horn, from which fruits and flowers are poured, carries the energy of peace, harmony, hospitality, so the dish in the form of a cornucopia on the festive table is very symbolic. Salad "Cornucopia" is not only its form, but also the content corresponds to a symbolic value. It has many different ingredients, which are somewhat unusual, but very harmonious in taste combination. A bouquet of greens and vegetables that form part of the salad dressing is a separate vegetable snack on a common dish.
Ingredients:- Chicken leg of smoked meat 500g
- Eggs of chicken 4 pcs.
- Cheese hard 70 g
- Apple 1 pc.
- Onion 0.5 pcs.
- Prunes 50g
- Walnut 100 g
- Mayonnaise 350 g
- Olives without seeds 100 g
- Cherry tomatoes 3 pcs.

- Step 1 For the "Cornucopia" salad, we need to prepare the following ingredients: smoked chicken, boiled eggs, hard cheese, apple, onion, prunes and walnuts, mayonnaise for refueling.
- Step 2 We clean the smoked chicken (leg or breast) from the skin and bones, cut into small cubes.
- Step 3 The hard-boiled eggs are cut using thin cutlets with the help of the egg.
- Step 4 We rub the cheese on a grater with a thin shavings.
- Step 5 Finely chop onion and pour boiling water for 3 minutes so that bitterness is gone.
- Step 6 Apple three on a coarse grater. If the apples are treated with wax and the peel is firm, then it is better to clean them.
- Step 7 Prunes, if soft and plastic, washed with water, dried and finely chopped. Dried, rough to the touch prunes need to pre-soak in hot water to restore the plasticity, and only then cut.
- Step 8 We will have a salad puff, for its assembly we need a large flat dish of oval or round shape. We mix the chicken with onion, put the first layer in the form of a horn and slightly lubricate the top with mayonnaise.
- Step 9 We lay eggs in the second layer and also lubricate with mayonnaise.
- Step 10 The third layer is apples. They have enough juiciness, so they can absorb mayonnaise from other layers.
- Step 11 Cheese or mix with mayonnaise in a plate and then lay, or simply put on the mayonnaise mesh, since it is not easy to smear it, it can be collected in lumps.
- Step 12 Thereafter goes prunes, it is evenly distributed over the cheese layer and lightly greased with mayonnaise. Put the salad in the fridge soaked for 1-2 hours, covered with food film.
- Step 13 Cut off the tip with mayonnaise (for home-made mayonnaise you need a confectionery syringe) and apply a diamond-shaped grid around the "horn". Walnuts roasted, cleaned from the film and put the large halves in the grid cells. Undivided nuts create a special taste of this salad, and this is its highlight.
- Step 14 Before serving, decorate the salad with a bouquet consisting of parsley greens, tomato rosettes, egg white flowers and olives.
