French pizza design The fact that pizza is tasty and loved by different peoples is no longer subject to doubt, but in every kitchen is its approach: someone is experimenting with the content, including the ingredients loved in their country, someone is conjuring the shape, making it even more appetizing and attractive. I present one more sample of the French approach to pizza design. The composition of the dish would not be different from traditional samples, if it were not for the addition of aromatic herbs to the dough. They are the main bouquet of this dish, because the most common flowers in Provence do not differ in splendor, but they are famous for their aroma: rosemary, sage, thyme, lavender - and most of them are used in this pizza. Traditional colors of Provence: terracotta, white, burnt orange, it is in these tones and decorated pizza. It turns out beautiful and spectacular, that even a dilemma arises: whether to admire pizza for a long time or immediately try it.
Ingredients:- Water boiled 0.5 tbsp.
- Olive oil 1 tbsp. l.
- Yeast, dry 7 g
- Sugar 0.5 tsp.
- Salt 0.5 tsp.
- Wheat Flour 1.5 tbsp.
- Provencal herbs 1 tsp.
- Tomato sauce 3 tbsp. l.
- Mozzarella cheese 100 g
- Cheese hard 50g
- Cherry tomatoes 4 pcs.
- Sweet pepper 0.5 pcs.
- Olive oil 1 tbsp. l.
- Salami sausages 100g
- Step 1 For the pizza test we use: flour, yeast, water, sugar, salt, olive oil and Provencal herbs. For the filling, we take: salami, any hard cheese, Mozzarella cheese, cherry tomatoes and sweet peppers, having a figured shape, as well as olive oil and tomato sauce.
- Step 2 Dry the active yeast with flour or add to the liquid, based on the recommendations on the package. I often use those that are added directly to the flour.
- Step 3 Dissolve salt and sugar in warm water.
- Step 4 Add a portion of the aqueous solution to the flour, then pour the ground Provencal herbs. They include: basil, sage, mint, thyme, savory, rosemary, oregano, marjoram. Stir everything, gradually adding the remaining water. Knead the dough.
- Step 5 Add the olive oil and carefully knead it thoroughly until it is plastic.
- Step 6 When the oil stops separating and makes the dough silky and plastic, put it in a warm place, covered with a lid or napkin.
- Step 7 Ready the dough to knead and stretch into a thin cake with a thickened edge. Usually the correct dough for pizza is plastic and elastic, does not stick, even if you do not dust the table with flour.
- Step 8 Put the dough in a mold, grease it with olive oil, providing a crispy crust and preventing the soaking from the juicy filling.
- Step 9 Cover the surface of the dough with tomato sauce.
- Step 10 Arrange the pieces finely chopped salami.
- Step 11 Thoroughly fill the surface with cheese, rubbed with fine shavings. You can use the traditional Parmesan pizza or replace it with any hard cheese.
- Step 12 Pepper we need yellow or orange with side grooves, allowing the cross-section to get a kind of flower. Cut the peppers into thin rings and put them on the pizza; Send the pizza to the oven for 10 minutes at 220 ° C.
- Step 13 As soon as the pizza blushes, take it out of the oven and put a circle of Mozzarella in the center of each ring from the pepper and a circle of cherry tomatoes on it.
