Puffed salad with herring and cheese It's nice to get an elegant portion of a delicious salad at the festive table, partly reminiscent of the habitual "Herring under a fur coat". However, this dish is more flavorful. About 2 hours may be required in order to prepare products for salad: boil and cool vegetables, cut and chop the herring. Of the indicated amount of products, 2 portions will be obtained with a diameter of about 10 cm. The mass of vegetables is indicated already in boiled and purified form. Instead of a metal ring, you can use a flat plastic bottle cut from both ends. Each layer should be slightly pressed down, so that the salad kept the shape.
Ingredients:- Herring salted 180 g
- Black pepper powder 1 g
- Mixture of peppers 1 g
- Salt 1 g
- Onion purple 60 g
- Garlic 1 clove
- Beetroot 250 g
- Mayonnaise 3 tbsp. l.
- Gouda cheese 70 g
- Carrot 70g
- Potatoes 270 g
- Onion purple 0.5 pcs.
- Onion green 20 g
- Cranberry fresh 30 g
- Step 1 Prepare the fillet of herring, sliced in small cubes, boiled potatoes, carrots, beets. You will also need onion purple and onions, cheese, mayonnaise, a clove of garlic.
- Step 2 Finely chop onion.
- Step 3 Carrots and cheese cut into small cubes.
- Step 4 Add 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise and a little freshly ground mixture of peppers. Mix.
- Step 5 Wet the beets on a coarse grater, add crushed garlic and 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise. Mix.
- Step 6 Grate the potatoes on a large grater, add 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise, a little salt with herbs and black ground pepper. Mix. Half the mixture put in a ring, mounted on a plate. Lightly tamper.
- Step 7 Then lay a layer of half the chopped onion.
- Step 8 A layer of half-sliced herring fillets.
- Step 9 A layer of half a beet mass.
- Step 10 Half the mass of carrots with cheese is the final layer.
- Step 11 Carefully remove the ring and decorate the salad to your taste. For example, onion rings, crushed green onions and cranberry berries. Also prepare a second portion of the remaining products.
