Purple Salad Salad with beet, cheese and herring to your liking is somewhat like a salad "Herring under a fur coat", but the presence of cheese and pickled onions gives him new characteristic notes! Salad is not only delicious, but also beautiful - thanks to the beetroot it has a pleasant purple color! In order to prepare the salad did not take you much time, I recommend in advance to boil and cool the beets and quail eggs, as well as prepare the herring fillets, removing the skin and bones!
Ingredients:- Beets 2 pcs.
- Salt 0.5 tsp.
- Table vinegar 1 tbsp. l.
- Water boiled 200 ml
- Mayonnaise 230 g
- Salted herring 0.5 pcs.
- Onion purple 0.5 pcs.
- Cheese hard 180 g
- Eggs quail 7 pcs.
- Sugar 0.5 tsp.
- Step 1 To prepare the salad, we will need salted herring fillets without skin and bones, purple onion, boiled quail eggs, boiled beets, hard cheese, mayonnaise, hot boiled water, 6% vinegar, salt, sugar.
- Step 2 Purple onions are cleaned, cut into small cubes and poured with marinade, consisting of hot boiled water, table vinegar, sugar and salt. We leave the onions to marinate.
- Step 3 While the onions are marinated, hard cheese is cut into small cubes and put into a salad bowl.
- Step 4 Add to the cheese cut into cubes of the same size fillet of salted herring.
- Step 5 We boil the boiled and cooled beets, cut them into cubes (approximately the same size as cheese ones) and add them to the salad bowl to cheese and herring.
- Step 6 Pre-cooked quail eggs are cleaned, cut into random small pieces and add to the rest of the ingredients.
- Step 7 Then add the onion, from which we merge the marinade first.
- Step 8 Fill the prepared ingredients with mayonnaise.
- Step 9 Stir the salad. To taste it can be a little salt, especially if the herring is salted. We put the salad in the refrigerator for about 1 hour.
- Step 10 After an hour, let's serve lettuce in portions or in a common salad bowl, decorating as desired.
