Varied home menu can be prepared by another option of pickled herring (previously presented a version of herring marinated with lime) - with tomato paste and onions. In this recipe, a lot of onions, because it turns out very tasty and is eaten at times faster than the fish. If the herring is slightly salted, then during the addition of tomato paste, salt should be added, not later, otherwise the salt will dissolve poorly.
Ingredients:- Herring salted 400 g
- Tomato paste 1 tbsp. l.
- Onion 150 g
- Sunflower refined sunflower oil 40 ml
- Table vinegar 30 ml
- Mixture of peppers 1 g
- Dill dry 1 tsp.
- Step 1 Prepare the products: salted herring, tomato paste, onion, butter and spices.
- Step 2 Let's start with the preparation of the fish. Herring should be washed and divided into two fillets.
- Step 3 Cut each fillet across 1 cm thick slices.
- Step 4 Herring in a salad bowl, add the tomato paste. Salt - if necessary. Season with freshly ground pepper mix. Mix.
