Shop's salad - a national Bulgarian dish Many traditional dishes can be given a new taste, simply adding to them a new, not quite familiar ingredient. Sometimes the result is a dish that is quite familiar to a resident of another country or region. This is the shop salad - a traditional Bulgarian snack. We are all preparing a summer vegetable salad of cucumbers, tomatoes and Bulgarian pepper, especially in the summer, when all these vegetables are available, cheap and most useful. To him, you can give a completely new taste and appearance, adding only fresh brynza, olives and a drop of lemon juice. For Bulgarian cuisine in general, the use of sour-milk products in various dishes is common, not only in salads, but also in second courses and soups. But the salad is a special salad. Local people often prepare it in layers, putting tomatoes on the bottom of the salad, then cucumbers and green peppers, and on top of the cheese.
