Caesar Cardini was a real Italian. He opened a small restaurant and called it "U Caesar", after he moved from Italy to America. There was a restaurant in the Mexican city of Tijuana. Then I poured some butter. After he poured eggs, previously dropped into boiling water for 60 seconds, to the bottom of the plate. Then he added lemon juice, a little seasoning and most importantly grated cheese. Also, the croutons were added, which were cooked in garlic and olive oil.

Because of Caesar's brother, a legend arose that in the salad must necessarily be present anchovies. However, Caesar was categorically against the anchovies. He claimed that the salad should contain Italian olive oil and Italian pepper.

In some sources it is claimed that the salad was invented not by Caesar but by some other people. And Caesar only stole the salad recipe and named it by his name. But all this is just all speculation.

Now there are many recipes for preparing this all-known salad. And as a rule, the present recipes are not at all similar to the one that was discovered by Caesar.

Classic recipe
