The sole of the shoe cracked. How to seal it?

Unfortunately, any footwear is not eternal: the heel of boots will be erased, the sneaker will break, the sole will burst. Many in such cases immediately go to the repair shop, but you can fix these problems yourself at home. To do this, you need to know some tricks with which you can restore your favorite shoes or boots.

How to properly seal a bursting soles?

Even if it burst all over, it can be fixed. There are several ways for this.

Method number 1.

Step back from the crack about 5 cm toward the heel and draw a line parallel to it. From the drawn line and to the toe of the shoe, sand the sole with sandpaper. If there is a protector, it is necessary to clean it "to zero". Attention: if you have boots or shoes with a protector more than 5 mm, then try the second option, this method will not help you. After cleaning and degreasing the crack itself with gasoline or acetone, glue it with a good second glue. After that draw the markings for the future grooves under the thread, as is done in the figure.

With a small knife, cut small grooves along this marking. Pull the insole out of the boot and flush the soles of the outsole along the cut grooves. On top of the thread apply glue, and when it dries, peel and skim the sole overlap with a microporous or other dental material, the thickness of which should be equal to the thickness of the tread and rubber, which was removed with sandpaper.

Method number 2.

Strip the inside of the crack and degrease it. With a shoe cutter cut the edges of the sole to a depth of 1 mm, retreating approximately 5 mm in both directions. Ruler measure the depth of the broken rubber and add to this value another 1.5 cm. From the bicycle chamber, cut out a rectangle, the length of which corresponds to the length of the crack itself, and the width is the resulting value in millimeters. Strip this strip and degrease, glue with glue from all sides so that the entire surface is covered on one side, and on the other hand leave dry edges - about 5 mm. Bend the cracked sole so that the defect is opened. Treat it with glue and allow to dry a little, not allowing the edges of the crack to stick together. Put greased rubber strip into the bursting place, straighten it. In such ways, you can easily repair the cracked boots, shoes or shoes yourself.

  4. Its cut is processed by nazhdachkoy from the side where it will glue the problem place.
  5. Apply glue to the lining and the place of damage.

How to remove a hole in the sole of shoes?

If the hole in the sole is small, then it can be effectively sealed with a conventional sealant glue. For these purposes, silicone is better. His nose should be cut so that it fits perfectly into a hole in boots, shoes or any other footwear that requires repair. From the inside (under the insole), press the area of the hole with a piece of leather, plastic or other material. Fix up the plantar part. In the hole press the sealant, so that it completely filled it. After drying, it firmly fuses with rubber, due to which the hole is reliably eliminated and you can not be afraid of wet feet. If it is large enough (it appeared as a result of wear), then it can be glued with a special polyurethane forging, using a thick super-glue. Such details are sold in shoe stores.

Which glue is better for shoes?

Shoe-professionals are in solidarity with the opinion that polyurethane glue is the best for sealing up a shattered, wiped and other footwear with defects. It has good elasticity, strength and provides a high degree of fastening, which allows you to restore any cracked shoes. In addition, with such tasks, an adhesive and a special shoemaking composition that can be purchased in specialized shops are doing an excellent job. If the boot is cracked, rubbed or with it happened another "misfortune", do not rush into the shoe shop, or you can try to repair it yourself.
