But the most popular seasoning in India is curry, most sauces are cooked with it. The basis of nutrition of Indians is vegetable food, especially beans, rice, corn and, of course, vegetables. Meat dishes are a rarity for Indian cuisine, besides, according to local religious laws, it is forbidden to eat meat of cattle here. Therefore, preference is given to fish, seafood or poultry. Here are the most popular products in this country, and we will prepare a delicious dish - a turkey with rice. The "highlight" of the dish is in the marinade, or pasta, which is covered with the bird fillet before roasting. The turkey with rice in this performance is a kind of Indian pilaf, which locals usually cook without meat at all, replacing it with beans. To our taste - it's just porridge, besides, we are not used, especially in winter, do without meat products. You can cook the same dish instead of turkey with rice, using your chicken breast. The taste will be slightly different, but still excellent.
Ingredients:- Turkey fillet 600g
- Round-grained rice 1.5 tbsp.
- Celery stems 3 pcs.
- Carrot 1 pc.
- Onions 1 pc.
- Garlic 3 denticles
- Sunflower refined sunflower oil 4 tbsp. l.
- Ginger dry 0.5 tsp.
- Curry 2 tsp.
- Pepper black ground 3 pinch
- Salt 3 pinch
- Step 1 To prepare the dish, you need turkey fillets, rice, large carrots, celery stems, garlic, a small onion, vegetable oil and spices.
- Step 2 The turkey fillet is well washed, drained and cut into bars. Then rub well with a mixture of spices: curry, powdered ground ginger, black pepper and salt - and let stand for 10-15 minutes.
- Step 3 Prepare vegetables: chop finely the onions, carrots cut into quarters, stalks of celery and garlic cut into large cubes.
- Step 4 Boil rice until cooked in lightly salted water, then discarded in a colander.
- Step 5 In a deep frying pan heat the vegetable oil and fry the turkey fillet and garlic until the meat is white.
- Step 6 Then add the onions, carrots and celery.
- Step 7 Mix everything well, cook 3-4 minutes under the lid, and then without the lid until the carrot is soft, stirring occasionally.
- Step 8 Add the finished rice.
- Step 9 Mix everything well, add salt and pepper to taste.
- Step 10 Cover with a lid and cook for 2-3 minutes on a slow fire. Serve the dish hot.
