Selection of products for salad
According to the classic recipe, the basis for this dish is potatoes, which are chopped with small straws and fried in large amounts of vegetable oil. But, since the salad becomes too high in calories, the main ingredient is often replaced by cabbage, Korean carrots or other vegetables.
Today we will cite several recipes, which, although they share similarities, still meet different gastronomic tastes.
The most important thing is to cut the components of a salad correctly. They should be ground in the form of small straws, since then you will have to make a nest of them, and thick pieces for this do not fit.
As a rule, the salad includes boiled meat, ham and vegetables, but their number can be changed in any order.

With fried potatoes, mushrooms and chicken
Ingredients
- boiled chicken - 200 g
- ham - 50 g
- egg white and yolk separately - 3 pcs.

We prepare as follows
- We chop the potatoes into a thin straw. If you plan to cook this dish often, buy a special grater. Next, vegetables should be fried in small batches so that all pieces are covered with a uniform golden crust.
- Ham cut straws, mushrooms in small pieces, and chicken meat in small cubes.
- Grind the squirrels on a grater.
- To cook the "eggs", which will serve as decoration, three yolks and cheese. Mix with garlic mush, greens and mayonnaise. Roll the mixture into balls.
- We take a flat plate and on its bottom lay out carefully washed salad leaves. With a heap we spread out the ham, mushrooms and meat, making a small indentation in the middle. We put all this on the sides with potatoes, and in the center we put the prepared decor elements.
With grapes
In this case, we will do without fried potatoes and replace it with other products. So the salad will be less caloric, but equally tasty and unusual.
You will need
- chicken breasts - 3 pcs.
- celery - 100 g
- grapes - 300 g
- hazelnut - 70 g
- quail eggs (cooked) - 2 pcs.
- mayonnaise - 3 tbsp. l.
- leaf salad
- a couple of fennel or parsley sprigs
How to cook
- Meat is cooked and cut into strips.
- Celery is cleaned and also chopped, as is the chicken. Part of the grapes are divided in half and remove the bones. Hazel it is cut.
- All the ingredients are mixed well with mayonnaise, salt and pepper.
- Laying leaves on a plate for serving, and meat and vegetables for it. Deepening in the center remains. To let the salad outwardly resemble a nest, lay the sprigs of grapes on either side.
- Eggs are boiled, peeled from the shell and put in the center. It is better if you count the number of guests in advance and cook the appropriate number of eggs.
