First you need to prepare all the ingredients - the herring is separated from the bones (if you do not have a loin piece), boil the eggs, and cook the carrots, potatoes and beets until cooked. Now we are engaged in grinding. Chop onion finely, beet and apple (peeled from seeds and peel) rubbed on a large grater (released during the rubbing liquid must be drained). Eggs, potatoes, carrots and herring are cut into cubes. A little egg yolk can be left to decorate a ready-made salad. We take a detachable form, we spread on the bottom the first layer - grated beets. Next - a layer of herring. Next - a layer of onions. Now everything must be properly tampered with, so that all the ingredients are tightly "glued" to each other. Tamped herring, onions and beetroot with a layer of mayonnaise (about a third of the total amount of mayonnaise used). Now - a layer of potatoes. Next - a layer of carrots and apples.
