What clothes to take to a ski resort

Did you get a ticket to a ski resort? This means one thing: you are a person who prefers active rest. And, apparently, skis are your favorite pastime. In Russia, in winter, almost everywhere you can ski. I got up on the ski track and - forward, glide yourself with the breeze to health.

And yet a lot of skiers are heading for the mountains. "What attracts them there?" - you ask. Let's try to sort things out and put everything in order. First of all, skiers are people who have fallen for ever in dependence on adrenaline. When driving on ski slopes and jumping from the springboards, they experience a dizzying experience, comparable, except, with jumping under a parachute or with participation in races. When descending, skiers can develop crazy speed, breathtaking and heart-stopping. But not only adrenaline pulls the mountain skiers into the mountains. They go there at the call of nature. Where, as not in the mountains, you can feel complete unity with nature, dissolve in its power and splendor. The mountains are the sun, the greatness of the slopes and peaks, the sparkling whiteness of the snow, the purest ringing air, the blue sky and the expanses, vastnesses, expanses .... Not for nothing that Vladimir Vysotsky once sang that "only mountains can be better than mountains". Alpine skiers, moreover, are a special clan of like-minded people: strong, courageous, optimistic and healthy. Alpine skiing is very traumatic. But do not worry, it's worth it to be engaged at least on an amateur level. For lovers of alpine skiers there are special trails, more gentle, with low jumps.

So, you adore skis and decided to visit the ski resort. The first question that novices are asking themselves is which clothes to take to a ski resort. Let's start with the fact that it is necessary to take care of equipment and clothes in advance. Do not forget that you will not spend all your time on the tracks. Ski resort in addition to skis - it's also swimming pools, saunas, restaurants, bars, shops, discos. Therefore, you will need, at least, a swimsuit and a couple of outfits, including shoes. And for casual wear, jeans are universal, a turtleneck, a T-shirt and a jacket. Even if you do not dare to ride on a real ski slope, you can choose other options, for example, sleigh rides, snowstorms, deer or dog sledding.

Let's return to the clothes and what clothes to choose for the ski resort. Firstly, clothes should be as comfortable as possible, do not constrain movement. Get yourself a good clothes. Such clothes will not give you the opportunity to get wet and freeze, which means getting sick or feeling unhappy. Modern costumes for skiing are very elegant and beautiful, and, despite their aesthetics, they have purely practical qualities - they perfectly hold heat, are not blown up by mountain winds, do not get wet, provide excellent friction in the snow. The latter quality acts as a kind of brake and will help stop when falling on a slope. For skiing it is desirable to dress according to the principle of "cabbage head" - several layers of thin clothes instead of a pair of thick things. This principle will improve the air circulation and maintain its own microclimate - internal heat. The first layer protecting the "head" (body) from the cold should consist of a breathable underwear that is capable of removing moisture from the body. The next layer should drain moisture to the outer clothing and can consist, for example, of a fleece blouson. If the air temperature is too low or a strong wind is blowing, it is desirable to put an even thicker fleece jacket on top, and only then an outer jacket or overalls. Outer clothing should have a hood with wings on the sides and a visor. Overalls, insulated jacket and trousers can be bought both at a very high price, (made of high-tech materials), and economical. Each manufacturer offers several lines of sportswear, that is, for every taste and purse. The next mandatory element of clothing - special gloves for skiers, for example, based on membrane tissue. They must be worn at any temperature. Gloves, in this case, are not only the protection of the hands from frostbite, but also protection from injuries in the fall. A necessary element is the cap, when choosing it, make sure that it is resistant to wind gusts. Do not forget to purchase and special ski socks, which must necessarily end above the boot and label elastic not tight elastic. Such socks facilitate the evacuation of fumes up and the comfort of the foot. By the way, between the leg and the boot is only allowed a sock and, in extreme cases, - thermal underwear, and nothing more. The main condition - thermal underwear and socks should not form wrinkles. Thermal underwear for a skier is a godsend. It is a top with sleeves and panties, like a losin. Such linen is tightly attached to the body. It is better for skiers to use thermal underwear made of synthetic material, because unlike thermal underwear made of natural material that absorbs sweat and soaks, it removes moisture and is able to preserve heat.

Especially I would like to talk about glasses. They are necessary during a snowfall and in very bright sun. The glasses with a neutral gray or mirror filter are considered the most universal. In the fog glasses with a yellow-orange light filter are suitable. You can use ordinary sunglasses, the main thing is that they are firmly seated on the nose. When wearing glasses with diopters, choose ski goggles that could be worn over the ordinary ones. Although special double glasses (ski boots with diopters) can be purchased to order. In general, ideally, sunglasses intended for wearing in the mountains should have a fourth degree of protection against ultraviolet rays, that is, to pass them only 3-8%. Special glasses are 100% protection, they have a special anti-mist coating that can not be wiped from the inside. Snow from the glasses can only be shaken off without wiping the glasses.

In general, it is advisable to purchase equipment in a specialized store. This, of course, is not cheap. But you will not have enough for one year. Quality clothing and will last longer, and make skating the most comfortable. Special factory clothes for this sport are equipped with membranes, through which excess moisture is removed with maximum preservation of heat. Ski boots purchased at a specialized store are universal and, for example, they have a special "riding-walking" switch. The inner boot is able to take the shape of the owner's foot.

The best material for a ski suit is polyester, which has a "rip-stop" treatment, and the collar is preferably from Driclime (drains moisture out). If you intend to walk under a backpack, it is worth paying attention to the suit for the tailoring of the shoulders (without seams). In a quality suit, the seams should be glued, and in the places of greatest tension - zigzag. It is desirable that the suit on the elbows and knees have protective pads, sleeves cuffs should also be double. Pockets should be as much as possible, and zippers should be resistant to moisture and frost and not touch the skin. If the suit does not have sewn protective lining, then it makes sense to purchase elbow pads and knee pads.

If you go to a ski resort for the first time, it's better if you take outwear and other outfits and initially "try it on yourself." This will help to avoid mistakes in choosing clothes and, possibly, in the future will save from unnecessary expenditure of money.
