When introducing complementary foods, you should start acquaintance with vegetables with a mini-dose (literally at the tip of a spoon) and gradually bring the portion up to 1/2 tablespoon per year of life. For older children, the portion is 1/2 cup cooked vegetables or 1 glass of raw. But, of course, and this is an incredible amount for most moms and dads. In order to bring a little horse to him, you need to apply a sea of persistence and a drop of imagination. And we will help you with advice.

Taste predispositions begin to form in the womb. What the future mother loves and eats, will fall in love and a crumb. They, as a rule, refuse to try new tastes and catch small pieces of onions from the soup. Conclusion: if possible, keep breastfeeding for more than six months. Do not drop your hands at the sight of a corrugated mug. It is likely that you will have to offer a cabbage green peas on the tip of the spoon 10-15 times before he deigns to at least try it. But do not try to push the vegetables violently, nothing but disgust, so do not achieve. It is advisable to offer the child as many kinds of vegetables as possible before 3-4 years. The higher the likelihood that he will accept and fall in love with at least some of them. Remember that in the first years of life, children are more likely to get acquainted with new tastes than at the age of 4-8, when the number of favorite foods is practically not replenished.

Together with other family members, take the habit of eating vegetables with every meal. Children borrow a type of food from their parents. Do not show yourself a negative attitude to the beans and zucchini and do not bring up the conviction that vegetables, although useful, but rather insipid. For this, in no case do not promise candy after eating a vegetable stew. Advice! Serve vegetable dishes at the beginning of the meal, when the feeling of hunger is the strongest. Scientists from Philadelphia have found that up to 80% of children have a special gene that increases sensitivity to bitter foods (over the years its effect is weakening). That's why the little goats almost do not get to eat broccoli, cauliflower and other foods with a bitter taste. The way out is to sweeten the vegetables a little, sprinkle them with grated cheese or caramelize. Gradually reduce the amount of sugar, honey or cheese in the dish. Even if the child is not enthusiastic about vegetables, continue to aggressively offer them every day. It is better if he eats a small amount than nothing at all. If you have a country house, involve a grown-up karapuza in growing vegetables. He would rather try what he did. Go to the store together, explain your choice and let the child choose from his favorite vegetables. Decide on the products that the baby eats with a hunt, and mix vegetables with them. Tomato and Bulgarian pepper are more likely to be eaten on pizza (try to have 1 / 4-1 / 2 glasses of vegetables on each piece), cucumber and lettuce leaves - on a sandwich with a chicken or chicken, zucchini and green onions - in pancakes. Thoroughly grind and mask the vegetables. Children are very picky about the consistency of food. Instead of ketchup, pour your favorite macaroni with tomato sauce, mixing any other vegetables with it. Shredded to a homogeneous consistency, useful foods are good in omelets, soups and casseroles. Rubbed zucchini and zucchini can be added to pastries, for example, in cupcakes. And try to cook meatballs, mixing ground beef with carrots, red bell pepper, celery, onions, greens and a small amount of grated cheese. Dishes should not only be tasty, but also attractive to kids. It's great if you can eat them in an unusual way. For example, cut into long strips and quickly fried in a large frying pan, vegetables can then be fun to eat with chopsticks (here and use, and fun, and development for the hands). Pieces of raw vegetables are equally interesting to dip into various dipsy sauces - you can use a special fork or just hands. Part of the daily dose of crumb's vegetables can be obtained in the form of juices. It is better to mix them with fruit and confine themselves to 200 ml per day (for children under 2 years it is better to give special children's vegetable juices in jars no more than 100-150 ml). Vegetable drinks are better to drink half an hour before meals - they stimulate the digestion process.
