Age and skin care

Gabrielle Chanel once said: "At the age of 20, we have the face that nature gave in 30 - which molded life, and at 50 - that which we deserved." How and from what age do you begin to "deserve" beautiful skin? Age and facial skin care is the main theme of the article.

Like most Ukrainian girls, I went to my own philosophy of skin care by trial and error. Years from eleven beginnings twice a day to wash with soap, and in the mornings also to wipe the face with ice from the infusion of chamomile. In principle, the strategy is correct. But I was terribly economical: instead of going through a piece of ice on the skin and throwing away the remnants, I literally "freezed" my cheeks until everything melts: why good things disappear? I think that's why I have fragile, dilated blood vessels on my cheeks. And even in high school my girlfriend taught me how to make peeling ... with salt. The same method is well-founded - in some scrubs include salt. But, firstly, the sea. Secondly, in a strict proportion. And most importantly - the crystals undergo special treatment are literally "grinded". Nevertheless, this type of exfoliation is considered quite traumatic and is not recommended for owners of sensitive oily skin. Now I reason so sensibly, and then rejected the method of "salt peeling" only because of its unaesthetic. Similar experiments were at many, and at an early age they are inevitable - we girls! But some mistakes the person will not forgive. Therefore, in the pubertal period it is important to understand how our skin functions to direct energy into a peaceful channel. The most important question is when to start taking care of the skin. I would say that with the onset of menstruation (and they can be in 10, is13, and 15 years). During this period, the first qualitative changes in the skin occur, when the sebaceous glands work particularly actively because of hormonal rearrangements. Cells, as is known, are constantly updated and exfoliated. A superfluous sebum prevents this process, gluing the keratinized cells and clogging the pores. The bacteria are connected to the case - and voila, we have inflammation. The first step in the confrontation is purification, which destroys harmful microflora. In general, I am convinced that it is necessary to teach the child to wash with water regularly (especially before going to sleep!) In early childhood, and at the time of puberty to introduce a cleanser into this ritual. Which is not less important question. I washed myself with the "wrong", ordinary soap. Results it, to put it mildly, did not give. The fact is that soap breaks the pH-balance of the skin, creating an alkaline environment on it. And this is no less favorable place for the reproduction of bacteria than skin sebum. Soap should be acidified. " But this does not mean that for washing, you should choose only mousses or gel products. For many years now I have been devoted to Soap Fashion Soap from Clinique. It can pick up the skin subtype, it is completely washed off, leaving no film, it's refreshing. Plus, it's economical - one brusochka worth 90 UAH. enough for almost four months. No less pleasant impressions left Gentle Foaming Cleanser, Clarins, with exfoliating microgranules and Mousse Purete Nettoyante, Dior, with an extract of crystal iris. But they are not so profitable, that for teenagers sometimes is of decisive importance. Another "umyvalka", which I would trust young skin, is Cell Culture Face Cleansing, SBT. The concept of the brand - to include in the composition of all the means of a biological cell nutrient solution perfectly tolerated by the skin - is very appealing to me. If for some reason contact with tap water and soap is impossible or unacceptable (due to acute sensitivity or atopy of the skin), micellar water will come to the rescue, for example Effaclar, La Roche-Posay. The next most important stage after cleansing is exfoliation of dead cells. No, it's not about scrubs and peelings. Once upon a time, Clinique scientists made a major breakthrough in cosmetology, talking about the need for daily exfoliation of cells with lotion with salicylic acid (by the way, it also has antiseptic effect).

Since then, keratolitics - exfoliating substances - are part of the tonics of almost all brands. Comparing the action of lotion and scrub, the leading dermatologist Clinique David Orentrek draws parallels with daily exercise and a marathon run, respectively. Use a scrub is better with 16-18 years and do it no more often than once a week. And if the skin is oily, prefer soft gommage or chemical peels to mechanical scrubs. For example with fruit acids, like Deep Exfoliating Mask, Dr Sebagh. Only stand it four minutes instead of eight put. And before the first application it is necessary to pass the test on a small area of skin behind the ear or on the wrist. By the way, today keratolytic substances have also been included in care for the control of rashes. As a result, we have two effective novelties - Normaderm from Vichy and Effaclar Duo from La Roche-Posay. The latter is especially noteworthy, since it is designed for young sensitive skin and does not have parabens, dyes, alcohol and comedogenic components. Effaclar dermatologists recommend when treating severe forms of acne, when other drugs are prohibited. This is a strong argument for parents-skeptics who love to grumble: they say, children smear too much chemistry on their faces. Moisturizing cream is necessary for the simple reason that after washing, the hydrolyside film should be restored. As an additional means to deal with the problem skin, you need to acquire a cleansing mask (apply once a week), as well as anti-inflammatory paste (apply pointwise and leave overnight). When buying, be guided by such ingredients: zinc (dries), extracts of citrus (narrow pores), clay (regulates secretion). Separately I would like to say about salon procedures. Fight acne with cleansing, especially at a young age - a vicious practice. "Mechanical and hardware cleansing changes the channels of the forming sebaceous glands and only aggravate the situation," warns Boris Kogan.

Doctors then do not have other methods of treatment, except for laser resurfacing. " Therefore, with serious and worrisome manifestations of adolescent acne should be addressed first of all to a certified physician. And only then, after finding out the reasons and getting into the nature of things, go to the cosmetologist. Lucky people, whose skin does not cause trouble, I would not advise to rest on my laurels. The three-step program "purification - exfoliation - moisturizing" has not been canceled. But the emphasis should be on useful substances: vitamins (Eclat du Jour, Clarins) and thermal microelements (Aqualia Thermal, Vichy). Now a few words about makeup. With unlimited access to any means, in my 24 I believe that on weekdays there is no better product for instant transformation than blush. Even mascara sometimes looks contrasting and spoils the gentle effect of "just off the bed," so it's better to replace it with a gel. A ton of makeup on the faces of my younger brother's contemporaries surprises me frankly. Yes, belonging to a certain subculture dictates codes like densely summed up liner eyes or black lips. Yes, glossy publications are sometimes fond of decadent-gothic aesthetics. And yet it is not by chance that the trend nude wanders from season to season. No wonder manufacturers of cosmetics are fighting to ensure that the tonal funds merge with the skin, and the ink does not form lumps. No wonder Dan Humphrey from the series "Gossip Girl" said that his sister Jenny with smoky eyes is like a raccoon. Because 15-year-old girls can not look like that. Or, at least, they can not look that way every day. After all, youth, freshness and naturalness were, are and will be synonymous with beauty. They need not be hidden, but stressed.
