- Sasha, you have terminated contact with Victor Drobysh. What are the true reasons for the termination?
- I think it's not a secret for anyone that Victor Drobysh as a producer was less brilliant than the composer. He could not gather around him a team that would work efficiently, with love for his artists. I watched for several years how everything is arranged in the Drobysh PC, whose actor I was, and I can not call this "corporation" except "sharashka office".
Everything that concerned my creative life - in general strange. As soon as Prigozhin and Drobysh engaged in it, it was done somehow wrong. It would seem that here before you is a young artist, already quite popular, with his audience, repertoire, image. It is in your hands, warm, only from the TV, everyone did it for you, invented, finished, polished, rehearsed. You did not invest anything in it, neither financially, nor morally, but you still have the opportunity to earn money on this artist, and expand your "portfolio"! Use the moment, develop the project! But no. The main thing is "to take off the cream", "to score" in the tour schedule of more cities, to earn now, and then come what may.
The artist will come out himself - a young man. Will bring a rich aunt or uncle - even better, "master the budget."
- Why did you agree to participate in the group "KGB"?
I agreed to participate in the group "KGB", having heard Drobysh's assurances that it's only for a couple of years, that "it's necessary", "so it was said from above". Frankly, at first I was even delighted. For the start, I chose my song "Five Days of Love", it started to rotate successfully, we itched through the cities, dreaming that they were about to be called to Moscow or even, what the hell is not, abroad to shoot the first video.
Back in the capital after the big tour of the "Star Factory", we physically sensed a "failure" in the schedule of filming, in the number of publications about us, and with each month the situation only got worse. Well, the last straw for me was the moment when one of the fans sent me an e-mail quote Drobysh saying that he believes the project "KGB" unsuccessful and is going to close it. That is, dissolve us, artists. We did not say anything about it. I immediately remembered his words in Germany when, after recording the vocals, we went out into the street, and he said: "Do not be afraid, boys, if something goes wrong, I'll sell my wheelbarrow, and I'll shoot you a video!"
- Victor Drobysh promised you a solo project?
- Yes, then there was a conversation about my solo project. Victor agreed that it was a good idea that it was time, I was given full freedom of expression, as they say. I chose 10 songs from my material written at that time, and the recording of the album began. But in the advancement of the artist Alexander Kireev, no special success was observed. Rather, almost nothing was done for this.
And at one point I received an SMS with a message from the executive director of the HRC Drobysh, the meaning of which was as follows: the artist Kireeva from the following month, a week later, deprived of money allowance. I called Maxim Dmitriev, he was then the director of the PC, I was invited to a conversation. The conversation was a very amusing event. I was informed that from now on, the MMC, in connection with the number of new artists ("Star Factory 6"), has no opportunities to conduct the project "Alexander Kireev." Then went quite understandable on the meaning of the questions from me and indistinct answers from Maxim.
Throughout the conversation, Drobysh sat aside, looking down, and drawing something on a piece of paper. Like a schoolboy, I thought then. I was told one simple condition for withdrawing from the contract: the return of an amount of money. And, as the subsequent 9 months of searching for other options showed, the condition was the only one possible for the HRC. In December we, at last, officially legally parted with the NKM.
So, as you can see, there are a lot of true reasons, and this mass was constantly growing, like a snowball.
- How is your musical career developing now?
- At the moment I'm free from contracts. Now there is a painstaking work on my first solo author's album. I act as a composer, author, performer and producer. Work on the album takes place at one of the famous studios in Finland - "Helsinki Records". The co-producer of the plate is Maki Kolehmainen. He is known for his cooperation with such successful European projects as "Ace of Base" and "Bomfunk MC's". At the moment, we are working with him enthusiastically on the musical material for the album I so expect.
