Analysis of the psychological conflict situation

In order to analyze the psychological conflict situation, it is necessary to consider the concept of conflict, what it is, how it originates, which increases the risk of its occurrence, as well as methods for its minimization. It is proved that during conflicts there are different ways of behavior, multiple positions about its solution, and also different stages of development of this situation. Having analyzed the conflict on the stage, we will analyze it and find some conclusions for ourselves.

Conflict has many meanings, and everyone understands it in their own way. We can deduce its meaning relative to the type of conflict, or we can compare its main characteristics, and thus find its general definition, which, of course, will help us analyze the psychological conflict situation. This analysis will be conducted depending on the types of conflict and the behavior of the individual at this time.

Conflict is, often, the everyday everyday situation, with which everyone meets and remotely everyone understands the meaning of this word, using it in his everyday vocabulary. This is the most important aspect of interaction in the society, the characteristics of its groups, the form of relations between potential and actual subjects of social action. Conflict is often a clash of different interests, in which each of the individuals takes a position regarding their interest, to satisfy or protect the satisfaction of some of their needs, the essence of which is hidden in the conflict that has arisen.

If we talk about their causes, they arise in the course of the interaction of two individuals and, in theory, are inevitable, although their appearance can be minimized. Conflicts can be diverse, in more frequent cases negative, when they can lead to quarrels, destruction of agreements and deterioration of relations between actors. But sometimes the conflict may be necessary and constitute a certain need, with the aim of splashing out their emotions, aggression, when both sides, through the conflict, take some kind of subconscious game, satisfying the same needs at their expense. The causes of conflicts are due to the emotional and psychological specifics of its participants, the features of morality, behavior and already fixed plans, moves and motives of behavior, certain principles of the individual.

K. Thomas identifies five different styles of behavior during a conflict: competition, cooperation, compromise, evasion and adaptation. In different situations, styles can be combined, a person can act according to the degree and type of conflict, but can also develop his own type of behavior during conflicts, which will be due to the properties of his character. Behavior during a conflict can depend on the mood, psychological state during a conflict, the attitude to another interacting person, and the very type of conflict and needs, it is also necessary to take into account what the individual wants to achieve.

The style of evasion is used when the problem for you is not so important, and your opponent is aggressive and among his needs there is just competition with someone, a dispute that you do not recognize. Aggressive style can be chosen only when you know that they are endowed with good authority and most people support you, also you are confident and will be able to prove your rightness. The style of cooperation is good, the code you have with your opponent already has stable friendly relations, and you will have to accept his opinion. The style of cooperation and compromise is the most effective for resolving conflicts, and in most cases, the most correct, because avoiding conflict, it is rarely possible to solve it, just like aggression is not the best way to do it.

For each conflict, the main stages are distinguished, which have different characteristics, actions and their own characteristics. The first stage is the emergence of a conflict, in which different opinions are formed and grounds for conflict arise. The second stage is the transition of a potential conflict into a real one, when a conflict arises and each of the parties already chooses its position in it. The third stage - conflicts, depends on many different factors, therefore, it proceeds in different time duration. At this stage, a culmination is possible. The last stage is the stage of solving the conflict, summing up the results, from which different conclusions already follow.

What are the ways to resolve conflict situations? In order to reduce tension, it is less to focus on your own opinion, to be able to use empathy and understand the second side, its conclusions, why your opponent does exactly so, while you have the main trump and advantage, understand the essence of the conflict itself, in which you participate and will be able to solve it as soon as possible. In the event that your opponent is an aggressor, you can foresee how he wants to see your behavior - he is waiting for the same aggression, anger and attack. Having foreseen this, portray yourself as calm, perhaps slightly neutral in the dispute - and you will get the initiative and a more advantageous position in the conflict.

Show that you understand the interlocutor and accept his condition, that you are not against him, but want to work together with him to solve a certain problem for both of you, and you take into account all the opinions. Never blame or judge an opponent just because you have different opinions - how many people on earth, so many thoughts, each person thinks in his own way, and we can not charge them with this.

A good technique to learn how to resolve conflicts correctly and to sharpen your mind is visualization and self-criticism. Imagine a conflict that has already been resolved in the past and look for your mistakes to prevent them from happening again in the future, draw conclusions.

By analyzing the psychological conflict situation and understanding its essence, we can learn to minimize such incidents, and also to solve them as quickly as possible at a high level, so that the interests of both sides are in favor, and the relations between individuals remain at the same level or even improve as a result the ability to get out of such difficult situations.
