Usually the composition of cosmetics is simple enough. Firstly, there must necessarily be a foundation. As a rule, it contains natural animal or vegetable fats or their synthetic analogs. This component, included in any makeup, is designed to nourish the skin, protect it from the corrosive effects of the environment and maintain a natural balance of fats.
Secondly, in cosmetics, as in food, emulsifiers are included. These are chemicals that align the structure of the remedy. Taken in a concentrated form, emulsifiers are harmful substances that can make any skin taut and dry.
Thirdly, the composition of cosmetics includes preservatives. They are also harmful substances. After all, their main purpose is to kill bacteria that can get into the cosmetic from the external environment. These are aggressive substances that can cause harm to the skin. Abuse of preservatives can lead to allergies.
Fourthly, most of the substances that make up cosmetics are quite unpleasant by smell. Therefore, cosmetics contains fragrances. They are also an allergen. Therefore, cosmetics for sensitive skin should not contain fragrances.
Fifth, the cosmetics include those substances that we consider useful as vitamins, biologically active additives, special mineral complexes, antioxidants, fruit acids.
The latter are sold under the name "natural products", but think about it, there are few unnatural products in nature, sulfuric acid is also a natural product. And mineral oil is a natural product. However, we do not rush to happily apply them to the skin. So the assurances of the producers regarding the naturalness of this or that ingredient do not mean that the composition of cosmetics and harmful substances are different things.

Toxic are not only ingredients, but also constituents. For example, sodium sulfate, which is contained in virtually any shampoo, shower gel, toothpaste when in contact with other substances turns into nitrates, the harm of which the modern consumer does not need to educate.
A high concentration of sodium sulfate is harmful in itself. Judge for yourself, this chemical, even car washers, is considered the main cause of metal corrosion, let alone the poor skin of a man. Moreover, the assurances of manufacturers regarding the natural origin of sodium sulfate - and it can indeed be obtained from coconut, practically do not play a role. After all, the nature of the substance from the method of production does not change.
Mineral oil, which is part of inexpensive cosmetics, despite its innocuous name, is a product of petrochemical waste. Clinical studies have shown that its high concentration can lead to gout, migraine. In high doses, the mineral oil is carcinogenic, that is, it itself is capable of causing a cancerous tumor.
So a reasonable modern consumer, first of all, reads the label of a deliciously smelling remedy, and will pay enough attention to the composition of cosmetics and harmful substances.
