Soup of bread and garlic The motherland of this soup is Portugal. Usually, the dishes of Portuguese cuisine are simple, and the Portuguese themselves like to eat in large companies. Special popularity and love are enjoyed there hot dishes. This soup is the lot of the poor. Once upon a time, rather poor Portuguese cooked this dish so: a plate was laid with stale bread, salt, greens and poured it all with boiling water. When the soup was insisted he was pushed with a wooden spoon and served to the table. Over time, the recipe has undergone changes, and the possibilities of the Portuguese have changed for the better. The hostesses began to add poached eggs to the soup, or simply broke the egg a minute before the dish was ready for the squirrel to grasp. This recipe does not presuppose the presence of products of animal origin and was conceived as a lean dish. In the end, it turned out to be incredibly flavorful and hearty soup, in large part thanks to bread and garlic.
Ingredients:- Bread white 350 g
- Onion 2 pcs.
- Cilantro fresh 1 bunch
- Garlic 5 denticles
- Olive oil 3 tbsp. l.
- Pepper black ground 4 pinch
- Salt 0.25 tsp.
- Water 1 l
- Step 1 To prepare this soup, take: yesterday's white bread, a bunch of cilantro, onion, garlic, olive oil, pepper, salt.
- Step 2 Chop onion chop.
- Step 3 Cut the bread into cubes. Peel and chop the garlic with a knife.
- Step 4 Wash the cilantro and chop it.
- Step 5 In a saucepan with a thick bottom, with the addition of oil, fry the onion until golden.
- Step 6 Add onions and garlic for 2-3 minutes.
- Step 7 Put the bread in the pan and mix. Fry for 2-3 minutes.
- Step 8 Pour 1 liter of boiling water, add salt, pepper and cook on low heat for 15-20 minutes.
- Step 9 Add the cilantro to the soup and remove after 1 minute from the heat.
- Step 10 All the ingredients are grinded with a blender, pour the soup on plates and serve to the table.
