Recipe number 1. Fresh cabbage stew with ribs
I cook this cabbage with pork ribs, but you can also take a neck or brisket, the taste of the dish will not be particularly affected.
Necessary ingredients:
- cabbage - 500 g
- pork ribs - 300 g
- onions - 1 pc
- sunflower or olive oil - 1/2 st.
- Salt and spices - to taste.
Cooking method:
- Pork ribs should be rinsed thoroughly, dried with a paper napkin;
- in the kazanok pour oil. I use olive oil, but you can take refined sunflower;
- on a well-heated oil fry the ribs to form a mouth-watering rustic crust;
- onion cut into half rings and add to the ribs, lightly fry;
- chop cabbage and send to meat;
- then add the bay leaves, black pepper, coriander and salt. Cover the cabbage with a lid and reduce the fire to a minimum. Leave to stew for 40-50 minutes.
For this dish you can take both early and winter cabbage. You can also add paprika to stewed cabbage, it will give the meat a special piquancy.
Recipe number 2. Sauerkraut stewed with meat
This cabbage was often cooked by my grandmother, especially in the winter. But in the preparation of sauerkraut with meat, it is necessary to follow certain recommendations so that the dish does not turn out too sour and tasteless.
Necessary ingredients:
- sauerkraut - 500 g
- pork - 400 g
- onion - 2 pieces
- sunflower oil - 4 tbsp. l.
- chicken broth - 1 tbsp.
- Salt and spices - to taste.
Cooking method:
- Pork wash, cut into small pieces and fry in vegetable oil in the cauldron;
- cut the onions into small cubes;
- sauerkraut rinse well under running water and squeeze;
- in the cauldron with meat we add cabbage, chopped onions, spices and pour chicken broth. Instead, you can take a vegetable;
- after that we cover the cauldron with foil and send it to the oven to languish for 1 hour.
It is better to salt this dish at the end, if necessary, since the cabbage is already salty, therefore it is very easy to overdo it here. If the stewed cabbage turned out to be too acidic, sugar will help to fix the situation, it is also better to add it at the end to taste.
Recipe number 3. Diet kale stew with meat
This recipe is perfect for those who follow their figure. The calorie content of this stewed cabbage with meat is only 160 kcal. It turns out a very tasty, satisfying and healthy dish.
Necessary ingredients:
- cabbage - 1 kg
- chicken breast - 2 pcs
- onion - 2 pieces
- carrots - 1 pc
- sunflower oil - 2 tbsp. l.
- tomato paste - 2 tbsp. l.
- water - 1 tbsp.
- Salt and spices - to taste
- fresh greens.
Cooking method:
- Chicken breasts washed, cut into small pieces and lightly fry;
- onion cut into half rings, carrots grate on a large grater;
- put the fried chicken, carrots onions, add 1 glass of water and put out 10 minutes;
- chop cabbage and add to the cauldron. We extinguish it for 10 minutes on low heat;
- after that we add there tomato, salt, spices and finely chopped greens. We extinguish 5 more minutes.
Instead of the breasts, you can take chicken legs or fillets. Such dietary stewed cabbage with meat will not only please you with its taste, but also take care of your figure. And picking various spices and herbs to taste, you can create your own small culinary masterpiece.
