Childfree

What is the family in the representations of the majority? They are loving husband and wife, relatives and, of course, children. Many people can not imagine a full life without the possibility to continue their kind, someone commits a real feat, doing everything possible and impossible to conceive and give birth to a child. But recently some couples have chosen a different way of life. Who are they? What motivates them? Is it worth them to condemn or take an example from them?

A bit of history.
In the distant 70's in the United States there was an organization for Non-Parents, who introduced the term "Childfree". Childfree means free from children. It is believed that this definition was created as a counterbalance to the more habitual "childless" and was intended to emphasize free choice, rather than impairment and doom.
This term became popular at the end of the last century, when the first group of people who adhered to this way of life was formed.
Strangely enough, people of non-traditional orientation among representatives of Childfree are a minority. Usually it is heterosexual people or couples who deliberately refused to continue the genus.

Who are these people?
Until now, in a world where most people want to become parents, childless people are, rather, a deviation, not a norm. However, the choice in favor of life without children, do not maniacs, fanatics or crazy.
Some "childfree" believe that it is immoral to give birth to children, because this is done without the consent of the children and is initially a violence. Their choice can be explained by the fact that our world is not the best place to live happily, there are many dangers and grief, bad ecology, many diseases.
Others explain their choice by their inability to be good parents , an unwillingness to sacrifice one's own life and comfort for the sake of someone else.
Psychologists believe that most of the so-called childfree have or have had problems with parents or other adults who influenced their choice, may have been victims of violence, or they are infantile and too self-centered. Some are simply physiologically incapable of having their own children.

Despite the image that attempts to create a "childfree" around itself, the image of a successful, responsible modern person, most often it is somehow unsuccessful people who are in captivity at their own fears or complexes. The same, whose choice is due to objective reasons, common sense and is not based on existing problems, units.
It can be said that most of the "childfree" made this choice involuntarily, despite the propaganda of the reverse.

Is it bad or good?
Approaching the evaluation of this phenomenon from the point of view of "good or bad" is not worth it. In any case, this is a person's choice made by him. And it does not matter what the reasons behind this choice.
From the point of view of sociology, religion and politics, "childfree" is a useless ballast that does not perform the basic function - the continuation of the genus. From the point of view of modern views, each of us has the right to decide how to live, how many children to have and whether to have them at all.

It is known that many people who for some reason missed the time when the birth of a child was possible, regret it. No one can predict the reaction to their own childlessness in the future. Someone will remain satisfied with this state of affairs, someone will reproach themselves for the fact that in his youth he had wrong views on life.
Many of those who refuse birth and education of children, try to develop, make a successful career, do not stand still. This is commendable, but at the same time, there is no statistics confirming the greater number of brilliant, successful people among those who do not have children. As practice shows, the presence of offspring does not interfere with the implementation, and in some cases, contributes to the achievement of higher goals, since children are an excellent stimulus for development.

In any case, no one has the right to judge people who decided to give up the happiness of being parents, as well as those who preferred to be only them and refused any other benefits. Whether the views of this popular movement are mistaken, or not - the time will seem.
In 2003, US statistics showed that childless women under the age of 45 were more than 44%. The number of childless couples is growing every year.
