Chips, is it harmful for human health?

Chips: is there potato?
Chips remain, perhaps, one of the most mythical products of our diet. About them goes a lot of rumors. One of the most important - potato chips do not have potatoes. In order for you to be sure of what chips you and your relatives eat, we went to Vyshgorod - to the factory of chips "LUX" and found out what the chips are made of.
Only potatoes
Whatever they say, but the "LUX" chips are made from 100% potatoes grown not in greenhouses and laboratories, but in Ukrainian fields - by farmers and agronomists. Potato for chips "LUX" does not contain GMOs. For the production of chips, special solid potato varieties with high solids content are grown. This allows you to reduce the number of calories in your favorite chips by minimizing oil absorption in them when frying. Chips "LUX" - is a natural potato, which is fried in palm oil and added with salt and seasonings.

What not to be afraid of
Now we'll figure it out with butter and seasonings. Chips are not fried in the same amount of oil, as we are usually considered. Palm oil, when frying chopped potatoes, comes uninterruptedly. In addition, unlike vegetable oil, palm oil does not contain harmful trans-isomers, which are deposited in blood vessels and fuels appetite. The composition of palm oil includes karatinoids (which give orange color to chips when frying) and vitamin A - a well-known antioxidant that preserves beauty and health.
"Then the seasonings are harmful!" - you can say, and again you will make a mistake. The number of seasonings in chips is minimal, besides they are bought from European producers, and in Europe, as is known, the production of products containing GMO is strictly limited, and some EU countries are completely banned.

But George cut the potatoes so finely that, in the end, frying it in oil, got chips. After trying the dish, the millionaire was delighted! Since that time, chips have become a delicacy of the American rich and have been included in the menu of elite restaurants in America. And only after 40 years, crisp potatoes became available to the masses and, in the end, won the place of the main snack in the whole world. In the USSR, the first chips appeared in besieged Leningrad. Thin salted potato plates, dried on the stove, were distributed to children to diversify the poor diet.
