How to prepare a honey cake correctly
Of course, this delicacy can be freely purchased at any confectionery store. But the honey maker cooked at home will not go with him in any comparison. To make it perfectly tasty, observe some rules:
- To make the cake soaked, use sour cream with low fat content. But then it is worth considering that there will be almost no creamy interlayer between the cakes. If you want the cake to be more juicy, choose sour cream with a high fat content and can even increase its quantity in a classic recipe.
- When choosing honey, be guided by the fact that dark varieties will give a more palpable taste in the dough.
- According to the recipe for more lush cakes use soda, but if you prefer an artificial baking powder, it should be added at the very end of the preparation, mixed with flour.
The recipe for the classic copper

- eggs - 2 pcs.
- sugar - 1 glass
- flour - 3 cups
- honey - 3 tbsp. l.
- soda - 2 tsp. without a hill
- vinegar - 1 tbsp. l. (to extinguish soda)

- egg - 1 pc.
- sugar - 1 tbsp.
- sour cream - 1 tbsp. (200 g)
- Butter - 200 g
Cooking procedure
- Prepare the dough. In a water bath we beat two eggs with a glass of sugar. Cook this mixture for about five minutes, until it slightly rises and brightens.
- Do not remove from the bath, add honey and continue to whisk. Add a glass of flour and soda, stirring again. When the mixture becomes homogeneous, we pour out another glass of flour.
- Then pour the vinegar and mix. Dough on the eyes will rise and become more porous. Now is the time to add the last glass of flour to the dough, carefully knead it and remove it from the water bath.
- You need to lay out the dough on the table. It is better to sprinkle it with flour beforehand so that it does not stick to the surface. Let the dough cool down for a few minutes. Then we knead it with hands to homogeneity and divide it into six equal pieces.
- The oven should be warmed up to 180 degrees. Each part of the dough is rolled into a thin cake, laid out on a baking sheet and pierced in several places with a fork.
- The crusts are cooked literally five minutes before dark-golden color.
- To prepare the cream again on a water bath egg and sugar. When the mixture is uniform, add a glass of sour cream and whisk it, you can even mixer.
- After that, the cream can be removed from the bath, allow it to cool slightly and add a soft butter. Once again, whip the cream until it is slightly thickened.
- Each cake is carefully smeared with cream, giving it a little to drain around the edges. The top can be decorated with nuts, crumbs or grated chocolate. To dessert is well soaked, put it for a few hours, or even better not a night in the fridge.
To make an unusual honey cake at home, you can experiment with the taste of the cream. For example, make it on the basis of condensed milk, not sour cream. To do this, you need to take a pack of softened butter and beat it up with a mixer to the splendor. Then gradually begin to inject the condensed milk without stopping the whipping. To get the cream chocolate taste, you can add a little cocoa in it at the very end.
