So, what can you eat with diabetes:
- Products with plant fibers - coarse grains, fruits (preference should be given to apples, lemons and grapefruits), vegetables, nuts, as they lower the level of glucose in the blood.
- Meat, preferably chicken, although two meals a week are acceptable dishes prepared from beef, because the body of the patient needs proteins and vitamins, which are contained in it.
- Fish and seafood are extremely useful in diabetes, so if you are their fan - you can safely include in your diet.
- Milk and derivatives, in particular, fermented milk products: yogurt, yogurt, unsweetened yogurt and low-fat dairy products in case you really want cheese, sour cream or cream.
- Vegetables and greens containing a small amount of starch and carbohydrates: parsley, dill, asparagus, spinach, cucumbers, cabbage and bell peppers.
What foods are contraindicated for dieting in diabetes

- Products with high fat content - meat, whole dairy products, lard, mayonnaise, sour cream, sausage.
Approximate diet with diabetes mellitus

Breakfast № 1: two hard boiled eggs, boiled meat and stewed zucchini; coffee or tea with milk; maximum 10 grams of butter with two slices of rye bread.
Breakfast №2: skimmed cheese, stewed eggplant with greens; coffee with milk.
Lunch: rassolnik with fish or meat broth with meatballs; low-fat fried meat and stewed cabbage; apple compote.
Afternoon snack: a bran cheesecloth, briar infusion or tea with lemon.
Dinner # 1: cabbage rolls with meat or cod in marinade.
Dinner # 2: yogurt or apple / grapefruit.
