Effective prevention of colds

Once in the villages they said: "Snotty kid means intelligent." On what the people's "wisdom" was based, it is not known. No scientific data confirms it. On the contrary, the intellect and health of the crumbs directly depend on the freedom of breathing. Effective prevention of colds is the topic of our article today.

Many parents consider the red laid spout an annoying, but inevitable companion of the autumn-winter period. It seems to be all sick, nothing terrible here. In fact, a harmless at first glance, the rhinitis is in serious trouble. The more difficult the baby breathes, the less oxygen enters the brain, the slower the development slows down.

In addition, the common cold is the most common cause of inflammation of the ear and throat. Starting to breathe with the mouth, the baby swallows the cold, microorganisms infected air, which inevitably leads to an inflammatory process. Communication with ear diseases is even closer. Infection from the nasal cavity in children can very quickly go to the ears, causing otitis. Thus, most of the colds begin just through the nose. So, it needs a special effective prevention of colds.

According to the laws of nature

Unfortunately, vaccine against colds simply does not exist. The viruses that cause them are too many. Vaccination against influenza also does not guarantee that the child will not get sick. As for immunostimulants, such an abundance of these drugs, as in Russia, is nowhere. Their action is poorly understood. It is not uncommon for cases when, after an appropriate course, the immune system refuses to work independently. Apply immunostimulants in extreme cases, in combination with other drugs and only after consulting a doctor. But nature itself has provided excellent protection for the baby's body - a special structure of the nose.

Tip

If you are going with the child to the street, make sure that he is dressed in the weather. Do not let it freeze or sweat. Such a "temperature shake" can lead to a cold

To the barrier!

The toe of the baby works like a well-adjusted natural conditioner. It moistens incoming air, warms it and cleans from pathogenic bacteria. To ensure that this system does not fail, it is necessary to provide it with favorable conditions.

1. Cleaning

To clear the nasal mucosa from microbes and maintain its moisture, special saline solutions (saline solutions or drops with sea salt) will help. Flush them with a nozzle of crumbs in the morning and in the evening or dig in 2-3 drops three times a day.

2. Moistening

To keep the mucous membrane dry, it is necessary to maintain a certain humidity (60-70%). In autumn and winter, this indicator decreases, so it is so important to moisten the air of the children's room in addition. This can be done with a wet towel - just put it on the heating battery and lower the lower part into a basin of water. Or you can use a special device - an ultrasonic humidifier. Experts advise to pour in it only filtered or distilled water. In untreated plumbing contains many salts, which, getting into the respiratory tract, injure the mucous membrane of the child's nose.

3. Special Assistance

Do not wait for the number of cases to exceed any conceivable epidemiological indicators. It is better to bring the baby to an appointment with an ENT doctor in advance (preferably in September or early October), especially if the baby catches easily. The specialist will be able to adequately assess the child's health, give appropriate recommendations and, if necessary, prescribe special medications to maintain immunity.

4. Protection

The best stimulant of natural protective properties are ordinary edible vegetable oils - sunflower, olive, peanut, corn, apricot or peach. If the tip of the baby is too dry, drip a few drops at night.

5. Training

Resistance to hypothermia, as is known, is trained by hardening. Try to pour the soles of your toes with cool water (25-26 degrees). The feet have reflexogenic zones directly connected with the mucous membrane of the nose and throat, so that the desired effect will be achieved quickly enough. The procedure is best done in the morning, after a morning exercise. And do not forget that you can start it only when the child is perfectly healthy.

6. Support Group

Irreplaceable prevention of colds is a full and varied diet of the baby. Fortifying substances include vitamin C (citrus, cabbage, dog rose), vitamin A (carrots, sweet peppers, any greens), zinc (all green vegetables, eggs, dairy products), magnesium and selenium (any cereals). There are pharmacy adaptogens - substances that increase immunity. It can be plants (ginseng, eleutherococcus, magnolia vinegar) and preparations of animal origin (mummies, propolis). Excessive independence in choosing such drugs, even consisting of natural components, is highly undesirable. Experts warn that such a lot of contraindications, they can trigger an allergic reaction, so the timing and dosage of their intake can be prescribed only by a doctor.

Drive behind the nose

We are accustomed to consider as a culprit of the common cold infections in the air. In fact, this role is often played by other factors:

- dry air of city premises;

- drafts;

- air conditioning;

too cold food and drink;

-Cooling the body, especially the soles of the feet.
