Sweet toasts A classic French toast is prepared by roasting white bread, impregnated with egg-milk mixture with the addition of cinnamon. We will prepare a richer version - with a filling of jam. The first "traces" of French toasts go to the Roman Empire, in the 4-5 century. The British, however, mastered this recipe in the 15th century, thus utilizing old bread. Why the toast is called French - I do not know! I only know that almost every country has its own interpretation!
Ingredients:- Bread for toast 4 pcs.
- Eggs chicken 1 pc.
- Milk 100 ml
- Jam 30 ml
- Cinnamon powder 1 tsp.
- Bananas 1 pc.
- Butter 10 g
- Sugar powder 1 tbsp. l.
- Step 1 To make toast, you will need white bread, better yesterday, milk, egg, butter, jam and bananas.
- Step 2 Cut the bananas that are needed to decorate the toast.
- Step 3 Beat the milk and egg, add cinnamon and mix well.
- Step 4 Smear the jam on both sides of the bread and press them against each other.
- Step 5 Melt the butter, dip the bread into the milk-egg mixture and fry until golden on each side.
- Step 6 Before serving, sprinkle the toast with powdered sugar and decorate with a banana.
