Harmonizing colors in makeup and clothing

The colors of any make-up largely depend on the color and shade of the clothes. Because of this, the ability to combine make-up with the outfit will allow you to always look your best. Therefore, when choosing decorative cosmetics or fashion clothes, do not choose those shades that are considered the most fashionable. Remember that the most correct choice will be if you pick up harmonious colors, like clothes, and, for example, eye shadow or lipstick. In order to find out, we decided to touch upon such topic as: "Harmonizing colors in make-up and clothes".

The list of harmonizing colors of makeup and clothes is very large, but we try to identify the most basic of this mass. It is generally believed that the bright red color is very well combined with green, black, blue, gray and golden. Do not approach the red colors such as lilac, orange, dark green and brown. Colors in harmony with burgundy are light blue and green, golden, gray and pure white. Non-harmonizing colors are orange, lilac and brick shade. For a purple hue, golden, pale blue, greenish, well suited - blue, orange and lilac.

The orange shade is well combined with lilac, white, blue, brown and all shades of blue. Do not approach orange in all shades of red.

Pink color looks perfect in combination with blue, brown, burgundy and gray, but negative colors for pink are green, purple and yellow.

Brown color looks original when combined with pink, beige and olive, and negatively with red, chestnut and lilac.

Olive shade allows for colors such as brown, golden, green and all shades of blue. It is not recommended to combine olive with burgundy, all shades of pink, and purple flowers.

The blue color fits perfectly with the blue, and red, but the mistake will be if you try to combine it with colors such as lilac and purple.

The blue shade will look good with gray, all shades of red, burgundy, golden, shades of pink and olive. Negative colors for blue are green and brown.

The golden tint will look original, if you combine it with pale blue, dark green and blue, olive and brown. The best choice will be a combination of golden and red, but pink and lilac use is strictly not recommended.

As for the yellow color, the dominant here is brown and all shades of green, but the pink color is absolutely inappropriate.

With a purple hue, golden, yellow, pale blue and orange harmonize well. Not recommended colors - all shades of red.

With shades of green, all shades of beige and black look. Do not fit - red and purple.

Lilac color will ideally be combined with colors such as gray, purple, black and green. Not recommended colors are all shades of red, olive, pink, golden and burgundy.

And finally, the eternal classics are black. Successful colors for black appear - pink, lilac, red. A good combination of black and white, as they say, a classic complements the classics. Non-harmonizing colors with black are almost not available, except for dark green and beige.

In the chosen clothes it is necessary always that there should be 2-3 colors and no more. With very bright make-up, we do not recommend wearing rich and warm shades. Here you need to choose cold colors in clothing - black, green, blue and violet. With a light make-up, it will be successful if you pick up your outfit in pink, cherry or crimson. If you constantly use light eye shadow and your makeup is similar to the natural one, then you need to get dresses of very light shades: green, yellow, pink, blue and red. If you are dominated by dark colors in makeup, then put on something pale blue, brown or green.

In case you use a dark beige tonal basis for the face, it is not recommended to wear bright clothes with strongly motley patterns. Here, outfits with monotonous and dark shades will be successful.

Remember, the basic rule that underlies makeup, which successfully combines with clothes, is the fact that any make-up must match the clothes. That is, if your clothes have a moderate and calm coloring, then makeup should be the same (light eyeshadow, natural shade of powder for the face, soft lipstick). But if your wardrobe is dominated by very bright colors in clothes, then, accordingly, your makeup should be bright (dark shadows, blush, powder and bright lipstick).

Another important criterion by which you need to select the appropriate outfit and make-up is the time of day. For example, if you wear dark clothes during the day, be sure to emphasize it with a bright shade of lipstick or lip gloss. If you decide to leave the house in a snow-white dress or suit, emphasize this outfit with bright shades of make-up. This is a bright pink lipstick, eye shadow of a blue or gray hue and beige powder for the face. A black outfit requires just the opposite, using light shadows and a transparent lip gloss. Bright and colored outfits are not recommended to complement makeup, which uses shades of pink.

And finally, I want to add that when applying makeup, you should always consider not only the color, but also the style of your clothes. With a sports suit or a light modest dress, a bright makeup will not be at all to the face. If you wear an evening dress, for example, a classic dress, do not forget to put an accent on the eyes and bright lipstick, but if you put on a very bright dress with noticeable elements of a prominent decor, then your makeup should be very bright (blush, dark shadows with gloss, lip gloss from the series Water Shine).
