How to iron clothes properly

How to iron the clothes, not everyone knows. It seems that it is easier? Drive yourself with an iron and all the wisdom. But this is how the young housewives and especially the owners reason until the first spoiled thing. It turns out that there are rules in this matter.

Temperature regime. At each factory thing, there is a tag where it is indicated in which temperature mode it is ironed. If this mode is violated, you can burn a hole in your favorite and expensive dress.

The order of ironing . It is important not only to correctly select the heating mode of the iron, but also the ironing order. Lay out your things according to the type of fabric. First of all, synthetic fabrics should be ironed, because the iron heats up much faster than it cools. Synthetics at a temperature of more than 110 degrees can melt. Then, gradually raising the temperature, you need to go to silk, wool and cotton.

Silk properly ironed without using water! Otherwise, the fabric will be stained and folded. Smooth the silk from the inside, through a dry cotton cloth. If glistening stains are formed near the stitches, rinse the thing again, dry it and iron it again. You can moisten the shiny place with vinegar.

Knitted woolen things are ironed well through 2-3 layers of wet gauze. Do not press hard on the iron. Knitted items of the wardrobe need only be slightly steamed, so as not to stretch the binding. Otherwise, a fashionable knitted blouse will lose shape.

Woolen things, too, are ironed from the wrong side. But already through a damp cotton cloth.

Products made from mohair require a special approach. Iron does not come in handy. Here we will be helped by an ordinary grandmother's rolling pin. The thing should be spread out on a flat surface, beforehand by placing a clean towel under it. Then cover the top with another towel and "roll" on the rolling pin, strongly pressing on the thing. Repeat the procedure again, changing the wet towel to dry.

Cotton and linen are properly ironed from the front and sprayed with warm water. Strongly dry linen can be wrapped in a wet sheet and leave for an hour while ironing something else.

Earlier, bed linen was ironed to shine and starched. But "many years of scientific research" revealed that starched bedding poorly absorbs moisture and is not beneficial for the skin. A ironed - worse passes the air. But if you do not like to sleep in folds, stay on your health. At the same time get rid of unnecessary microorganisms.

To iron such banal thing, as a shirt , too it is necessary correctly. Etiquette prescribes that the shirt should be free from wrinkles and unnecessary wrinkles. But you can not smooth a special crease on the sleeve, dividing it in half. Shirt begins to iron from the inside of the collar. Then they move to the outside, sliding the iron from the corner to the middle. Only after this, the back, sleeves, cuffs and front part are neatly smoothed.

Arrows on trousers are guided through a damp cloth. If you want the hands to be more durable, moisten the cloth with a weak solution of vinegar. And then iron them through a thick layer of wet paper. Before ironing, you can rub the crease from the wrong side with a dry soap.

A few tips. Do not hurry to hang ironed things in the closet. Let them hang and cool.

Keep the iron clean. If you do not have special cleaning products at your fingertips, you can use the folk method. Slightly heated iron must be rubbed against the paper, on which a thin layer of fine salt and planed paraffin are poured. Yellow coating from the cold surface can be removed by wiping with a cloth moistened with a solution of vinegar or ammonia. A solution of baking soda is also suitable.

If the iron does not slide smoothly over the surface of the fabric, do the following. Take the beeswax and wrap it in a rag, and then wipe it with the soleplate of the iron.

Never clean the iron with a knife or other sharp object. You will spoil the sole and things that you will then iron.
