How to properly allocate your time

"Everything has its time" - this phrase is familiar to us from the very childhood. But already in adult life she acquired a completely different character. What to do if everything is not enough for you 24 hours a day, and you would gladly change them to 48. And the thing is that not everyone can correctly "break up their affairs on the shelves" and, thus, organize and build my day. But we will try to find out how to properly allocate our time in our today's article.

Probably not many of us have heard of such a concept as time management. And those who heard, not the fact that they know in the ideal, how it can be deciphered. So, time management is the art of planning your time correctly, so that it is enough for everything that you plan. What are we talking about today. Let's borrow from the time management several terms that we will designate our business, which we will need to distribute. So, now we will eat "cats" (small businesses) and eat "dogs" (difficult and difficult tasks). Just do not worry about the fact that you really have to eat these lovely and defenseless animals really cruelly. Not at all, just this is our two "borrowed terms", the designations of which we have quoted in brackets. By the way, if you do not like these animals at all, well, or otherwise say the words-images, you can quite replace them with some of your own. It is on these "animals" (ours or your invented ones) that we will figure out how to properly allocate our time.

To make the impossible possible .

We all know that the most important and, as a rule, urgent matters, always need their mandatory and urgent implementation. But we can not always solve them because of the constant shortage of time. After all, we all need, day in and day out, to attend our work and, in addition, in our free time to do our own household chores. By the way, it's the domestic work that is taking our "lion's share" of our time. That is why these unresolved, important and urgent matters acquire the honorary status of a "dog". And you simply can not solve them correctly and step by step. How can you allocate your time and act in this situation? The answer to this question is very simple: you just need to "cut" (again in the figurative sense of the word) this "dog" into small and mouth-watering pieces that you can eat every week, at a certain time. Well, for example, you really need to learn Italian, let's say somewhere in three months. Remember that everything impossible is possible. You just need to distribute the step-by-step plan of your further actions. Set a goal that in a week you will learn a certain number of words and fix them by writing dictation or watching a disc with a self-instruction manual in Italian. Remember that the most important thing is to get your own. Well, under the word "own", we certainly mean the result of the work done by you. Here's your first lesson: built a plan, do not cut it halfway, and get to the goal.

You must Fedya, you must…

Small businesses that do not require urgent implementation are very fond of accumulating in crowds. And all for one simple reason that we, well, can not bring ourselves to them not what to complete, but even to begin. So you went to the arena of our "cats". It is not difficult to get out of this "crowd of cases". You just need to "eat" one of these "cats" every day. In other words, force yourself to take on all the unpleasant but inevitable deeds, including them in your daily "menu." And there, look, a series of days will pass, and you yourself will not notice how all your little deeds will simply be exhausted. For example, visit today after the work of a hairdresser, and tomorrow a beautician, but the day after tomorrow, visit your oculist (well, or another doctor, whose visit you postponed indefinitely) and so on. Here they are, small "cats", which certainly need to be released one at a time.

To allocate time, as under the scenario .

1. In order to correctly allocate your time, you need to understand where you are losing it, for this you should start a special notebook where you should write down in detail the cases that you did during each day within a month. After that, conduct a full analysis of the rationality of your time.

2. Write your cases in four columns: the first column - important cases that need urgent execution, the second - important, but which can wait, the third - urgent not important and, finally, the fourth - cases that are not important and do not require rapid implementation . And now, proceeding from this, start to stage them step by step.

3. Learn how to master several cases at once. Especially it concerns those cases for which you do not really burn with desire to undertake. For example, you have long ago "fed breakfast promises" to your girlfriend, threatening to call her day in and day out. But because of the daily turmoil and listening to her constant problems, you put it away. So, take the phone, call your friend and at the same time wipe the dust in the apartment. You'll kill two birds with one stone, and you'll dust the dust, and listen to a friend. By the way, behind the perishable work you will not so languidly listen to the problems of a friend.

4. Learn to rationally use any minute. For example, you have a free minute and instead of doing some productive work, you simply start shifting your attention to those cases that were created only to kill time (computer, phone conversation and so on). And most importantly, you yourself scold yourself for unfulfilled business and wasted time spent. And why do not you abandon these "viral" cases and not do something useful.

5. And in general, teach yourself to be organized by a person. By the way, for this, strangely enough, you should sign up for the gym. This, of course, is unquestionable, having good physical training, it will be much easier for you to struggle with your own affairs. But beyond that, you will also find the vital energy you need and, most importantly, organization. If you do not want to go to the gym, get busy at home every day, and you'll certainly notice how much more time you have.

So remember that for the correct distribution of your day you have enough and 24 hours, or even less. So learn to spread your "cats" and "dogs" on your bread and intensively "eat" them. Good luck to you!
